Ranieri leaves AS Monaco

AS Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri has been sacked today by billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev. Ranieri started the influx of world-class players at Monaco starting with James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho which was followed by Radamel Falcao, Eric Abidal and Ricardo Carvalho but Rybolovlev decided a fresh change was needed as they go into their new season in the Ligue 1 Orange. The Russian is reportedly offering a tax free stay and a huge wage in the expensive city. Front-runners for the job are Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and former Monaco striker Jan Koller who has expressed a desire to get into management.

Good luck. We have seen many of these but not many have succeed so good luck.

I didn't really do a Monaco story, but I did manage Monaco for a couple of seasons, they are well equipped to win Ligue 1. Good luck!
