Russian Oil Tycoon Buys Aston Villa

Russian oil tycoon Vladimir Ivanov has purchased the Premier League club for an undisclosed fee. It is thought that the Russian will be looking to sack current manager Paul Lambert and bring in someone who he thinks can lead the club to glory.

Breaking News: New Aston Villa Owner Hires Brazilian Legend

New Villa owner Vladimir Ivanov has sacked manager Paul Lambert and Hired Ex-Brazil striker Ronaldo. The new owner said to the press " Paul was not the man I believe can take the club forward. Ronaldo is a man who knows the game and is eager to get started building a squad that can challenge for European spots and eventually the Premier League title."
Club Objectives

The club have given me a transfer budget of £40 million and a wage budget of 200K p/w with the objective to gain Euro cup qualification.

Staff

When I came to the club the first thing I did was go through my staff and release and below average staff. I soon replace then with staff more suited to helping the club grow and develop.

My Team So Far

Aston Villa are a pretty average team apart from a few people like:

Benteke

Bent

And Agbonlahor

But the squad does have quite a few weak points like the RB and LB are both young players that at most only improve to a measly .

Transfer targets

I do have a high transfer budget but since I am at Aston Villa a lot of the top class players I was thinking about signing would not join such a small team, so I have had to look else where for my possible transfer targets.

My targets at this moment include:

Makiadi

Manoel

Kweuke

And Matthews
This is a nice start, but one tip, instead of posting a link to a webpage, actually insert the image into your post, like this:

Aston Villa Sign Young Duo

Earlier today Aston Villa announced the signing of Wellington Nem from Fluminese for £17.5 million and also the signing Nacer Chadli for £11.25 million at a press conference earlier on today at villa park. Also there are rumours coming out of villa park that Darren Bent and Stephen Ireland may be leaving but there is no solid evidence to suggest they are.
New signings

Matthews £3 million

Kweuke £7 million

Makiadi £5.25 million
I played with Kweuke once, in the Cameroon national team. I figured out this "brilliant" idea to play him as a defensive forward (never used this before or since) next to Samuel Eto'o. Worked like a charm. At one point, he was scoring more than a goal a game...

I seem to get more out of him if I play him as an advanced forward next to Benteke.
New Transfers

IN:

Muniesa £350k

OUT:

Agbonlahor £9 million
My pre-season results
