Following recent allegations that Ex-England international striker Gary
Lineker - who scored 48 goals in 80 appearances for his country- had racially abused Garth Crooks on the BBC One football highlights programme 'Match Of The Day, Lineker has been dropped from the programme. Two weeks ago, Crooks made the allegation that Mr. Lineker had called him an insulting name in relation to his race. What the former England star will do now remains to be seen, with some suggesting that he will be offered a managerial role in England.

Gary Lineker, 52, has been dropped from 'Match Of The Day' after allegations of racial abuse were made against him by a colleague.

Garth Crooks, 55, has said he was 'upset and angry' over the racial abuse which was aimed at him.

It was announced earlier today that Gary Lineker had been dropped from BBC One programme 'Match Of The Day' after racially abusing fellow pundit Garth Crooks. However, he has not wasted much time after finding a new job in a matter of hours.

He will join Wigan Athletic in the position of manager after Wigan sacked previous boss Owen Coyle to clear the way for Lineker's arrival. Lineker will have a lot of work to do at the recently relegated club if he is to get them back to the Premier League and, maybe in turn, redeem himself. Time will tell us how he gets on at the DW Stadium but it seems that Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has faith in the fallen star.
I've said this before but it got deleted for mentioning something, but this is a good start, good luck :)

Thankyou :)

New Wigan Athletic manager Gary Lineker has been questioned by the press as the squad's training camp came to an end against Carlisle yesterday. This was the first time he has met with the press since joining the Npower Championship side last month. Here are a selection of the questions that the journalists fielded to him.

Q. Welcome to the DW Stadium Gary, how are you finding things since arriving here?
A. Well the players and staff have been really welcoming and after what I said to Garth, I'm honestly surprised at the amount of people who turned up outside to officially welcome me.
Q. If we could just go back to that incident, Gary, do you regret what you said?
A. Well obviously, but I can't rewind time so I'll just have to keep apologizing and I know that what I've done will not drag the team down.
Many of you will already know, but a few months ago, Lineker was accused of racial abuse by fellow 'Match Of The Day' pundit Garth Crooks. However he has promised fans and players at the club that this will not get in the way of their quest to bring Premier League football back to the DW.

Here, the pair are seen laughing together with fellow pundit Alan Hansen.

Any pictures that are not showing that you want to see, tell me and I will put it back up.

Gary Lineker and Wigan Athletic have announced their new sponsor for the season. Sportswear giants 'JD Sports' apparently held long talks but eventually came to a decision on prices. The company's logo will now be the on the front of the Latics home and away kit for this year, at least. Gary Lineker said "Yeah it's great to be joined up with one of the country's leading brands. I want to thank JD Sports for allowing us to play with their brand on our shirts. I'd also like to thank the kit designer Lucas_C for designing a great kit which really helps me show that I'm all about change." The kits were unveiled this morning. They are shown below. Feel free to tell us what you think of them.

This is a very nice start, good signings and nice kits.
A tip from me would be to center your images, I really think it adds to the presentation :)
