On Thursday 6th December, Guiseley striker Obi Anouro handed in an official transfer request. Anouro stated he saw his footballing future away from Guiseley, after a lack of appearances for the league leaders. He was injured in the Confrence sides pre season and Fabio Zamblera and Josh Wilson have taken over the responsibilities of the attacking role. The Nigerian signed for Guiseley from Stalybridge for 55k and is on £550 per week. The 21 year old invited Thomas Williams(his manager at Guiseley)to a private chat later that day, Thomas revealed. Here is what was said:
OA: Obi Anouro
TW: Thomas Williams
OA: I haven't had enough first team foootball so i've gone public and told the media that I'm unhappy with my lack of appearances.
TW: Last time I gave you a chance in the first team you didn't perform. You need to be showing me why I should pick you not moaning that you want to leave.
OA: Do you really want an unhappy player disrupting the club?
TW: Your right, I don't want to damage the team's morale. I'll let you go as soon as possible.
OA: I'm glad you've seen sense, keeping me against my will would be bad for everyone. Thanks for understanding.
TW: See you soon.
By the sounds of it the youngster looks like he will be leaving in January.
