Andre Villas-Boas agrees Barcelona switch

Just under a week has passed since Tito Vilanova stepped down as Barcelona Head Coach due to ill health and Barcelona have already announced a successor to fill the role as head coach. It was announced on Saturday evening that Andre Villas-Boas will succeed Tito as Barcelona head coach.

Villas-Boas commented by saying "It was too good of an offer to turn down, not everyday that a team like Barcelona come knocking for my services. I would like to thank Tottenham and their fans for allowing me to pursue this dream of mine, I had a fantastic season last year and hope that they can continue building on recent success." Tottenham are now looking for a replacement for AVB with the likes of Ledley King being tipped to take the role.

Tottenham & Newcastle legend succeeds AVB

We are pleased to announce the appointment of David Ginola as the new Tottenham Head coach. David Ginola will replace Andre Villas-Boas as manager and will face his first test against sc Heerenveen. Ginola announced that "Taking the role as manager of a club as big Tottenham Hotspur is a privilege, I look forward to stamping my mark on the Barclays Premier League".

Adebayor has been at Tottenham for just over a season and already he is surplus to requirements. David Ginola has been quoted say that "Adebayor will have to find a new club as soon as possible. Adebayor doesn't fit the playing style that I will be going for and see the wage funds could be spent better." David Ginola has already shown traits that of a man we used to see week in week out scoring goals.

Christian Benteke completes Spurs move

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Christian Benteke from Aston Villa for a fee reported to be £16m.

The Belgium international, who scored 19 goals in Barclays Premier League last season, is Spurs's fourth summer signing, following the arrival of Neal Maupay, Hachim Mastour and Alen Halilovic from Dinamo Zagreb.

The 21-year-old will link up with the rest of the Spurs squad for their final pre-season friendly against San Jose Earthquakes.

He should be joined shortly by another new attacking signing, Lorenzo Insigne, who is expected to complete his move from Napoli soon.

David Ginola was excited by the signing by saying "Benteke is a wonderful talent at such a young age, to have the goal scoring record he did in his debut season is very promising for years to come"

Great signing. Let's hope he lives up to his price tag Insigne is a class player too so he should fit in nicely if he joins
