Bit late but good signing in Anelka

Zinedine Zidane has been back into the transfer market after signing 14 year old womderkid Joe van der Sar on a free transfer from amateur Dutch side Noordwijk. The teenage goalkeeper is the son of Manchester United goalkeeping legend Edwin van der Sar. Zidane will hope the youngster will develop into a club legend for Stade de Reims as he continues to improve the squad.

It was a poor month for Stade de Reims as they crashed to 3 out of 4 league defeats. Despite being up against bigger teams like Lyon and PSG, Zidane will still be unhappy that his side were disappointing in most of the matches that were played. However, they also won two matches, one in the cup and one in the league.






















Zidane said " Yes, some of the results were a little disappointing but we are not expected to beat teams of this stature. We got a good win over Nice and are into the next round of the cup, so I am fairly happy."







As promised, we will have our monthly awards. Our Player Of The Month award goes to Brazilian winger Diego again after scoring two goals in the win over Nice and making some great runs down the left hand side. He also collects the Goal Of The Month award for scoring a great individual goal in the Nice game. He won the ball on the halfway line and just sprinted through the Nice defense before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper. This goal also won him the Ligue 1 Goal Of The Month Award.



Once again, well done to Diego but Zidane will be hoping to improve the results. We'll be back next month. For now, goodbye.

Yeah but my board are warning me and i asked for more time to prove myself because of the tough games and they refused.

Good showing agajnst PSG though u lost. Hopefully the board show patience and let u turn things around

It was a much better month for Stade de Reims as they only lost two league games in October. This is a significant improvement from last month's three defeats, as they also picked up four points to add to their tally. They also played in the Coupe De La Ligue but you will find the results below. Manager Zinedine Zidane said " We performed much better against the top sides and I remain confident that we will survive relegation." So let's take a look back at October's results for Zidane and his team.















Nicolas Anelka proved to be a good substitution after coming on in the 82nd minute and scoring the goal that put Stade de Reims into the lead.












Now we move to the monthly awards and for the third time in a row, the Player Of The Month award goes to 24 year old Brazilian winger Diego. Not only did he score, but he also made some great runs down the left flank and set up the equalizing goal in the league against SC Bastia. He does not win the award for Goal Of The Month for the third consecutive time however. Instead the award goes to 23 year old Dane, Mads Albæk, who scored the opening goal against Guingamp after being played a lovely through ball by new signing Fabinho. He went 1-on-1 with the keeper and from 20 yards out,struck the ball low to the keepers left.
