Laurent Blanc arrested, sacked by PSG

PSG manager Laurent Blanc was arrested earlier this morning for unknown offenses. Rumours went around that Blanc had been sacked from his club and PSG would be searching for a new manager. A spokesperson for Blanc has said:

"We are sure that Mr. Blanc would respect privacy at this terrible time, but we'll be reporting any urgent news as quickly as possible. As for the PSG role, Mr. Blanc hasn't been told of his sacking so at the moment, these are just rumours. However, if worse comes to worst, I am sure that Blanc will respect the decisions made."

However, after this report, it was later confirmed that Blanc had been sacked and PSG are searching for a new manager. There are currently no candidates but any news will be quickly updated.
Good luck

Villas Boas for PSG job?

Andre Villas Boas is currently the favourite to take on the PSG managerial spot. Villas Boas, currently managing Tottenham, hasn't commented on the rumours, but a spokesperson spoke on his behalf:

"Andre is happy at Tottenham, and has no intentions of leaving any time soon. If a job offer did come, the chances are he'd say no. However, nothing has been confirmed."

Other people in line for the job are David Beckham , Raul , Frank Rijkaard and Rafa Benitez.
Good start, one piece of advise is to try and increase the length of your updates :)
Pfft, it seems like AVB is linked with every job nowadays, he's not gonna get it :P
Good luck!!!! :D
Seni I'll be increasing update size when the matches start, if I get that far...

Rablador I know! I couldn't think of anyone else :P

Rijkaard appointed as PSG manager

Former Holland footballer Frank Rijkaard has been appointed as manager of PSG. Rijkaard, 50, formerly managed Netherlands, Barcelona, Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia. Speaking of the job, Rijkaard personally said:

"I'm delighted to finally have a chance to get back into my managerial ways. It's been half a year since I left Saudi Arabia but it's felt like so much longer. PSG are an illustrious club with a bright future ahead of them, and I hope to give them the times they deserve."

"There may be some changes,"
he adds. "But they are only for what I think is best for the club. There are some great opportunities just this season, with the Europa League and Ligue 1 both realistic targets to win this year, and possibly - hopefully - in the end a Champions League title."

Fans are apparently delighted with the quick appointment of the Dutchman and are looking forward to his time at the club.
Not a bad appointment there :)
Looking forward to seeing who you sign here :P

PSG loan Balotelli

Frank Rijkaard has already made an impact on the PSG squad by loaning Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli for the season. Rijkaard was appointed as PSG manager last night and the quick deal already shows that he means business, saying:

"I'm delighted to have captured Mario so quickly in my time here in the hope that he can change our season for the better. I understand that this deal is risky (because of his temper) but that is why I've bought him on loan, and not on a permanent deal yet."

Balotelli has also spoken of the deal, saying:

"It is an honour to have joined PSG this season. Playing in the Europa League, it may seem like a step down, but I strongly believe that PSG are a stronger and better side to be working with in the coming season. To be honest, I'm glad to finally be out of Man City for the year. The rocky relationship with Mancini wouldn't help this season. I hope that my relationship with Rijkaard is better."

PSG unveil new Atari kits

Paris Saint-Germain have unveiled their new kits for the 2013-14 season, alongside their new sponsor Atari .

Fans have spoken about the new kits, branding them as 'amazing' and 'a reflection of the club's bright future'. The club have recently appointed Frank Rijkaard as their manager after Laurent Blanc was sacked after being arrested.
Interested a lot in seeing how Mario copes in France. Never done much in my saves before but he should be okay in France. I like this story and I will follow this one.
