Walsall sign Scottish attacker
Express and Star can reveal that Walsall have signed ex Everton and Motherwell attacker James McFadden on a free transfer, on a bosman ruling, he has agreed a 2 year deal on the rumoured wages of £10,000 a week.
McFadden had to say : "I am very happy about agreeing a deal to sign for League One side Walsall, I have heard they had interest in me all season but couldn't agree a deal in August for me, So I am glad to finally get it sorted, I was happy with what the DoF and Manager had to offer me at this well supported club, I was particularly impressed with their current league standing
I hope they can improve on where they currently sit, If its unfortunate that they can't make the play-offs this season, I want to help them get what they want and back into the Championship again.
Walsall Manager Craig Blick has said "I am very pleased to get a player of James[McFadden's] calibre, he has Premier League experience and also playing the Scottish Premier League also, has European experience aswell, He will give me the experience I need upfront along side the young strike-force I have with Jamie[Paterson],Johnny[Russell] and Nahki[Wells.]
