working my way through a club?

I was thinking of been maybe Real Madrid C or maybe 1 of other big teams C teams if there are any or the B teams and playing to get the big job and making my reputation that way, is this possible and playing as a 'B' or 'C' team what can i control, do i make signings etc?

It's possible to manage some 'B' teams that play in lower leagues. As far as I know it's pretty much same as managing other teams, you can make transfers and everything.
