September Review

Game 1
Norwich City 4-2 Wigan Athletic Attendance:27,224
Scorers: Ricky van Wolfswinkel (X2) Redmond (X1)
Vukcevic (X1)

Well, a very good start to September, we extended our unbeaten run to 3 games and kept 1ST place in the league. Our first goal was a real peach, a lovely passing move by the team passed to Wolfswinkel who expertly lobbed the keeper which lefted him helpless. Our second goal came from a Vukcevic corner, first it was cleared by the Wigan defence but there was Redmond on the edge of the box. He took a touch, and wacked the ball into the bottom corner. The 3RD goal came from a free-kick layed-off by Torres, Vukcevic rolled it past the defender and shot into the back of the net. Unfortanetly, we did concede which i wansnt happy about, it was a error by Bassong, and there was Kone to smash the ball past Ruddy. It got worse,a passing move by Wigan which ended with a cross Beausejour which fell into the net. But there was light at the end of the tunnel for Norwich as Ricky van Wolfswinkel paced through the defence and side-footed the ball past Al-Habsi. Overall, I am very happy with the win

Game 2

Swansea City 0-2 Norwich City Attendance 20,745
Scorers: Fer (X1) Redmond (X1)

To be honest, we was not brilliant this game, but we took our chances well. The game was very even, chance after chance just in the end we was more clinical and im ecstatic that it ended that way. Our First goal was scored By Leroy Fer (again!) this one not so spectacular but a goal nonetheless. It was quite a scrappy goal, we passed it all over the box before Fer decided to take charge of the situation smashes it through loads of players which hits the keeper and post before rolling into the net. The last and crucial goal was scored by Redmond, a really great skilling past about 3 players before calmly slotting the ball past Michel Vorm in the Swansea goal. Anothr game and another win, which extends our winning to 4 games and I couldnt be more happier

Game 3

Norwich City 0-1 Queens Park Rangers Attendance 27,102
Scorer: Bobby Zamora

Looks like all good things must come to an end. I chose to go with the 4-3-3 formation, and it backfired, we were to attacking and vunerable and the back it was a mistake by Bassong that led to the goal sloppy when he had the ball dispossessed at Zamora pounced like a tiger. He expertly rounded the keeper and passed the ball into the net. This was a shocking moment becuase it lowered confidence in the squad and it will be hard to pick themselves up after losing their first ever game

Game 4

Bristol City 2-3 Norwich City Attendance 8,895

We are back to winning ways! A very tough match though- which I was not expecting. But we battled hard and came away with the victory which we deserved. Howson scored our first goal,a beautiful cross by Redmond met by the head of Howson made it 1-0. So we carried on and managed to get a second goal in the form of Gary Hooper, lovely work on the right by Redmond again he squeezed in a low cross which Hooper diverted into the net. So everything was nice and rosy, things got even better we got a 3RD goal this time from Howson again. A goal kick headed on by Vukcevic fell into the path of Howson who smashed the ball into the net. The games wasnt done yet, but this time the goal wasnt scored by Norwich it was scored by Bristol City. A brilliant run down the left by Cole Skuse who fed Stead into the box who headed the ball into the net. But once again the tide turned again by Bristol City this time by Fontaine. A corner routine which fell to Fontaine who took a touch and buried the ball into the net. Anyway, the match did finish there and we made it to the next round of the Capital One Cup 4TH Round

Game 5

Sunderland 1-0 Norwich City Attendance 41,409
Scorer: Mangane
So, we couldn't carry on the momentum from last game as we lost to a very good Sunderland side it has to be said. But it was 34 minutes of the clock when Kadar Mangane put the ball into our net.ANOTHER corner routine which was headed by Mangane which gave Ruddy in goal no chance. Unfortanetly, we couldn't manage to get a goal and grab a draw. So another game down, and hopefully we can win our next game and take back top spot in the league.

After 2 months we sit nicely in third, hopefully we can push on and bring glory back to NORWICH CITY FOOTBALL CLUB....Hopefully haha

English Premier League Table

A good start to life as Norwich manager for Grant! Great win against Arsenal never saw that at all and your tactics look funky :P the 2nd one especially but they seem to work for you!

Maybe use some different bbcodes for the story to make it look more readable mate...some stories on here use them exceptionally well maybe take a look at some to see what I mean. It will make the post just look better as well which will make more people want to read it

October Review

It was a mixed month in term of results, but I am quite happy overall. So,here are the results for the month of October

Game 1

Norwich City 0-3 Aston Villa Attendance 28,234
Scorers: Benteke (X1) Agbonlahor (X1)
Bennett (X1)

What a shocking game, we were slow to the ball, error prone just plain rubbish ALL GAME. We deserved nothing from the game and that's what happened. It was only 3 minutes of the clock when the misery started when Villa played some nice football, and there was Benteke to put Villa in front 0-1. It got even worse for us when Charles N'Zogbia played a through ball right through our defence Agbonlahor raced through and cooly finished into the bottom corner 0-2. It was all done and dusted in the 73rd minute when Benteke's shot hit the post and Bennett passed the ball into the net to signal a truly terrible game for us. To top it all off Alexander Tettey got sent off to cap a miserable day. Hopefully we can pick up the pieces and win our next game.

Game 2

Chelsea 2-5 Norwich City Attendance 41,798
Scorers: Leroy Fer (X1) Ricky van Wolfswinkel (X1)
Macnelly Torres (X2) Simon Vukcevic (X1)

This was a brilliant game for all involved. We had power, pace, energy everything I could have asked for. It wasn't all nice and rosy though, and on 14 minutes Chelsea took the lead, sloppy play by Bassong who was dispossessed by Oscar who sidefooted the ball into the net. It got even worse for us when Chelsea were attacking deep into our half under pressure, we conceded a free-kick which for some strange reason was taken by Oriol Romeu I was suprised to see the ball curled round the wall and into the top corner 2-0 Chelsea. I knew I had to do something so at half-time I decided to take Bassong off and bring on Gary hooper- it worked. On 34 minutes Hooper played a one-two with Van Wolfswinkel who played in Fer, who slotted the ball into the Chelsea net past Cech. We pressed hard, and 2 minutes we was rewarded a silly free-kick given away by Chelsea in thier own half Ruddy booted the ball, Vukcevic headed the ball on to van Wolfswinkel who smashed the ball past Cech. Now, at this point I knew we could go for a third and take control of the game. 4 minutes later, it happened a corner kick taken by Vukcevic which met the head of Torres, the ball sailed into the net. 3-2 Norwich, but we was not finished there we made it 2-4 a lovely passing move by us exploited Chelsea's weaknesses and we pounced like tigers. The ball fell to Torres on the edge of the box who smashed it into the top corner it was a real cracker of a goal. But we was still not finished there, a goal-kick by Ruddy to Vukcevic, who chested it down spreaded the ball to the wing, we crossed it into the box which was volleyed by Vukcevic himself into the net. Overall, it was a really pleasing performance which I hope we take with us for our next game!

Game 3

Norwich City 5-3 Manchester City Attendance 24,908
Scorers: Leroy Fer (X1) Wes Hoolahan (X1)
Gary Hooper (X2) Jonny Howson (X1)

Once again we was brilliant, I couldn't be more happy with the team right now. Again, we didn't take the lead on 5 minutes a run by David Silva found Sergio Aguero who lobbed Ruddy, leaving him with no chance. 0-1 Manchester City. But we were not going to be defeated on 7 minutes it was Fer who scored (AGAIN!) but nonetheless I was very happy with his imput. So, the goal it was a set piece from wide of the goal, which was chipped in By Redmond met by the head of Fer into the net. On 21 minutes we took the lead a brilliant run by Redmond who put a through ball to Hoolahan who had no problem smashing the ball past Hart in the City goal. On 26 minutes it got even better, a throw-in which got fed to Hooper who turned on the ball and calmly put the ball into the net 3-1 Norwich. But, once again it didn't last 8 minutes into the second half when Nasri weaved his magic and slid the ball past Ruddy 3-2. City drew level on 62 minutes when a corner taken by Nasri met the head of Vincent Kompany. 3-3. But, we didn't lie down and we kept on pushing, and pressing, with 8 minutes to go Jonny Howson scored. Another throw-in which found van wolfswinkel who fed Howson who expertly trickled the ball past Hart. Overall, it was a great win

[h2]Game 4[/h2
Norwich City 2-3 Nottingham Forest Attendance 18,178
Scorers: Ricky van Wolfswinkel (X2)

I was very dissapointed with this result because Nottingham Forest are my favourite team so it hurt. But, back to the game once again we couldn't carry on the momentum from the last two games which was dissapointing. It was 6 minutes into the game when Nottingham Forest a corner taken from the left by Andy Reid was headed in by Jamaal Lascelles. Our misery continued when on 25 minutes Henri Lansbury made a surging run and unleashed a wonder strike from 30 yards. We did pull a goal back on 33 minutes another corner found van Wolfswinkel in the box who headed superbly into the net. 6 minutes after half-time it was 3-1 to Forest, a through ball right to the heart of our defence was picked up by Simon Cox who smashed the ball past Ruddy. 1 minute later we pulled a goal back throgh van Wolfswinkel. A run down the right by Vukcevic found van Wolfswinkel with acres of space to calmly poke the ball into the Forest. Overall, i'm that bothered about this result becuase the Capital One Cup was a hindrence and i'm glad we are out of it.

English Premier Division Table

After 9 games we sit nicely in 5TH which i am very happy about. I hope we can push on and regain top spot.
