Preston North End Enter Administration

Preston North End today entered administration after the club’s owner, Trevor Hemmings, was sued £200m. Hemmings, who owned over 100 race horses, was caught up in a racing scandal where 70 of his 100 horses were found to have been given anabolic steroids, and during the course of the racing season, he picked up £110m in prize money. The people who are suing him are said to be the British Horse Racing Association, who are furious at these discoveries, are now determined to claim back the money they lost at having to pay Hemmings for prize money. Hemmings has also told lawyers that he may not be able to afford to lose the money, as he lost over £700m in 2009 when the Royal Bank Of Scotland collapsed. This now leaves the financial future of Preston North End F.C, the club Hemmings owns, unknown as they have been placed into administration, and within the next two weeks, the clubs assets and ownership rights may be sold off if a buyer wants to come in and rescue them from liquidation. But there is also a catch to the prospect of the club being sold, the new owners will have to either face a 40 point deduction or be automatically relegated to the Blue Square Bet North division.
Unique Update mate...Good Luck!

Billionaire Tycoon Completes Preston Takeover

American billionaire Walden Schmidt today completed his takeover of Preston North End, and after consultation with fans at a meet and greet, has decided to undergo the liquidation process, and agreed to the team suffering relegation to the Blue Square Bet North. As part of the liquidation process, Schmidt has not chosen to re-name the club from Preston North End to Preston F.C, as he feels Preston North End is the most recognised club name in the history of the team, and has reached an agreement with the clubs players to keep them on at the club and help them win promotion back to the football league. Sports manufacturing giants Nike have also agreed to supply the clubs kits for the 2013-14 season onward. Sky Sports News will hold an interview with internet tycoon Schmidt, who made his fortune through software development and is worth an estimated £1.3B, to ask why he chose to buy the financial stricken club, and save them from going out of business entirely. The clubs stadium, Deepdale, has also been purchased by Schmidt so the club can keep their heritage from their home ground, as being one of the founder clubs of the football league 124 years ago. First team manager Simon Grayson has also stepped down from his position due to the takeover, but has refused to speak to the media explaining his decision, amid rumours he is taking a sabbatical.
