Six join Spurs, while nine leave. Spurs announce profit and new players
And finally we have finished a number of signings. The long awaited signings of El Shaarawy (21.500.000GBP), Vlad Chiriches (3.700.000GBP), David Ospina (Free contract) have finally been completed and they have immediately joined the squad.
El Shaarawy had already agreed a contract with Tottenham back in January, but Lineker has requested for the player to join at the end of the season, as Spurs were pretty stacked on the wings. "He is a fabulous player, technical, fast, deadly infront of goal. Not only that he's young, but having an attacking midfield containing of Bale, Shaarawy, Douglas Costa, Sigguroson and a few rotational players will be class. I hope he'll adapt quickly.
Vlad Chiriches, strong, Romanian, quick, and picks the right time to come forward and smash the ball in the back of the net. He's one of the transfers that were prepared since last summer, but he wanted to continue developing at Steaua, and Lineker accepted his proposal. Now, he will join the squad and hopefully prove himself to Lineker and become a vital player for the North London side.
David Ospina is a young goalkeeper. He will be there to provide backup for Lloris and most likely be used for rotation in cups, and Champions League group stage. He was snapped up on a free, and Gary is very delighted with the signing, as Friedel grew too old, and was no longer good enough to provide backup for the squad.
This is not all though, folks. Following constant rumours of M'biwa and Sissoko to Spurs, the rumors have finalized, and the French duo will sign for the Tottenham Hotspur team, to add depth and claim their places in the first team.
Sissoko is young, strong and efficient. A great playmaker and can also score. Lineker wanted him since last summer, but Newcastle didn't even want to hear about it. So, following their disastrous season, it was time to snap up a few players. He joined the squad for 8.750.000 GBP
M'biwa, another young player, strong, tall and is a great defender. His performances last year proved that. He joined the squad for a little bit under 10 million, but he will prove worthy of his transfer fee.
Scott Sinclair, the young English midfielder is also going to join Spurs, on a loan from Manchester City. Spurs will pay a fee of 50k p/m for the loan, and he will train and play for the North London side until the end of the season. They have tried to buy him for a fee of 4.700.000, but the player wanted wages far too big for Lineker to accept. They could afford it, but he wasn't worthy of 60k p/w.
Danish playmaker and Ajax star Christian Eriksen has sent in his transfer request today, and he will be up for sale for a fee of 20.000.000. Several clubs are ready to bid for the player, including Spurs. The main contenders, however, seem to be Juventus, as they look to bolster their squad for the next season.
