Francisco Fury

Marseille assistant manager Francisco ayestaran has hit out at African stars Andre and jordan ayew for not being there when their team marseille needed them most! he also aimed his rage at cameroon man nkoulou.

Ayestaran: " where were you when we needed you? at the african cup of nations? we are at the top of the table and just when we get hit by a plague of injuries... you lot decide it would be a good idea to leave and let the younger players do your job. you should of been here with your team fighting for first place!! what is the african cup of nations to ligue 1? luckily we managed to pull through this tough time!

It remains to be seen whether Aaron Hardy will have his say on ayestarans opinion or any of the players for that matter! it is expected someone will speak out in the coming days!

WOW! an amazing performance by the lads, we went 1-0 up and from then on it was hugely nerve wracking but we managed to finish them off with a wonderful free kick from payet (it wasnt an own goal i assure you)

So as i said, we drew juventus in the round of 16! we were playing amazing!! 2-0 up with a minute to go and unfortunetly they managed to score an away goal and drew level very unfortunate but im proud of the lads for this brilliant performance!

Well we managed to get our own back after them absolutly trouncing us at our home stadium last year. but im glad to say the points are our's!

So we drew toulouse in the 10th round of coup de france and to my surprise we were up 4-0 at half time against 2nd in the league table! a brilliant performance from everyone.

Now we had a challenge against over achieving side valenciennes and we beat them with a wafer thin lead however we were in control of most of the match.

Last game of the month was against havre in the 11th round of the coup de france and we managed to beat them comfortably 3-1! we drew ESTAC Troyes in the qtr finals and i feel we have a huge chance of winning the cup!

Monthly review:

im insanely happy with the improvement we made over last month and winning 6 games out of six is brilliant especially when you have the challenge of beating PSG and juventus back to back with some of your youth players

POTM:

the award goes to mulumbu for being an absolute rock in defensive midfield putting in some solid performances.

in other news we got our monthly youth intake and this is who we signed...

MARCH

A great game and another solid 3 points to add to the table, that will only help us make the deficit between first and second bigger!

YEs! against all the odds we turned the score on its head from 2-1 to 3-2 all in just 10 minutes! it was level on aggeregat at 2-1 but valbuena cored and we were heading to the gtr finals...only for him to slot away his penalty to finish the old lady off!! we drew barcelona in the qtr finals, a tough challenge indeed!

This was the most frustrating game all season, we completely dominated from start to finish but some how we couldnt score...luckily their goal was dissalowed.

a good routine win which just adds another good three points to table.

well we certainly proved the last game was just a one off, now showing the other teams in ligue 1 how to finish.

another fantastic much needed win that willl keep us at the top of the table for a long while now! 10 points clear of st germain and st ettiene.

Monthly Review

A great month all in all, unfortunate to slip up at nice but that doesnt matter now as we remain 10 points clear at the top. a fantastic win over juventus...simply amazing attitude from all the lads involved in that game.

POTM

this month the award goes back to valbuena for his outstanding performances against nice and especially juventus!

Hardy Hits Back

Today, Marseille manager Aaron Hardy hit back at assistant manager francisco ayestaran after revealed he was disgusted that he ayew brothers and nkoulou left marseille for the african cup of nations, heres what Hardy had to say!

"Its a disgrace that francisco had the nerve to say such things to the public, rather than consult me or the players in private! Had he of spoken to me in private i may have understood...everyone has the right to their own opinion and im not going against franci's opinion however i played 89 games and scored 23 goals for england and i enjoyed every moment of it and not once would i reject the oppurtunity to represent my country, even if it was in the middle of the season! had the players come to me for advice (on whether they should stay or leave) i would have booked them the first flight out to africa! tread carefully franci, and watch what you say in public."

APRIL

Well isnt that amazing! possibly the toughest challenge of the season and after going 1-0 up, we didnt hesitate to hit right back smashing 2 in with Ayew and payet, simply amazing from the lads!

a dissapointing loss to a team we really should be beating a real kick in the teeth to our 10 point gap! although....it still remains 10 points

Wow, we beat them again! thanks to a brace from the amazing jordan Ayew... i cant fault the lads they have been fantastic in this champions league campaign! we have madrid in the semi final!

another important win against borduex thanks to goals from maupay,Ayew and lucas mendes we extend our lead at the top to 13!

Of course it got hugely nerve wracking when they went 2-0 up but i always had faith the lads would pull it back and win, great goals from Ayew,Payet and a very nice penalty that won the game from none other than valbuena!

A fantastic result at the santiago bernabeu! Can we do it? can we win in back home in Marseille and go all the way...to the final where we would face Bayern Munchen!

Monthly Review:

Possibly the best month in my career at Olympique De Marseille! We beat barcelona at the nou camp and at home to reach the semi final where we drew 0-0 at the santiago bernabeu, simply magical!

POTM:

For the first time ever the award goes to Steve mandanda who WILL SHARE the award with jordan Ayew! Ayew was in fine scoring form getting 3 in 5 games and 3 of those games being against barca and madrid, thats an outstanding achievment for a 21 year old! Without steve mandanda, we wouldnt have even had the chance at playing barca or madrid after his amazing last ditch saves against juventus and barcelona! the 28 year old from france has been fantastic all season and could potentially win goalkeeper of the season.
