The wish

Being an Arsenal fan is tough. Currently the squad is not very strong, we've had a horrid trophy drought. Fans are getting fed up, I'm getting fed up but hopefully one day we'll be able to be successful again. Football it self has been ruined. Nowadays a firm tackle gets you in trouble, back in the days of Pele, Maradona nobody would complain. Teams like City and Madrid spend money for fun and the market is inflated.

Sometimes I wish we could just have the legends back again, to show the players of today what football is really about. For the sake of Arsenal we need these legends back, for the sake of football.

My friends and I always argue about who's better, Pele or Maradona. The truth is, we weren't alive to see them play, I wish there was a way we could or what if Ronaldo and Messi were young again, would they become legends elsewhere, could they even play for the same club.

Could England win the world cup again if all the legends came out of retirement? Would Spain still dominate the world. What would it be like if some of the invincibles went up against United's dream team.

Sorry, I'm over-thinking again. I tend to do that often when I can't sleep. Well I've got to go to bed now, goodnight!

Chance to re-write history

Good luck mate :) hopefully you can restore them to their former glory!

Wenger: We are the favourites!

Ahead of the new upcoming season, Arsenal manager Wenger has declared his side at the title favourites as he believes he has the strongest side in England. This is a very arguable thing to say as the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have very strong squads too.

In a press conference just before his side begins pre-season, Wenger was asked what he thought about his teams title chances and if his squad was strong enough to compete not only in the league but in Europe too, Wenger replied:

"We probably have the strongest squad in England, we can win the title and I believe we will win the title. Players such as Thierry Henry, Tony Adams, Giroud, Wilshere will be very important. Every player is a key player and we are looking forward to the new season."

Reports have recently suggested that Arsenal had a bid rejected for teen sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo. We tried our luck to see if Arséne would respond the recent speculation and rumours but when asked if it was true, the Frenchman replied:

"Cristiano Ronaldo, I've never heard of him before, who is he? Who does he play for".

Typical Arséne Wenger style there. More reports suggest Arsenal are interested in West Ham star Bobby Moore alongside with Brazilian star Pele. However offers haven't been made just yet. Arsenal fans will be hoping Arsenal can get the deals done in swift fashion like they usually do.

The combination of Pele and Henry would be mouth-watering and would surely tear up any oppositions defence. For more information on Arsenal's transfer news, you can get it here in Sky sports news.
Sign Bobby Moore! Would be a great addition! Great Start and Good Luck!

Good luck :P
Thanks for the comments guys :)

Arsenal bring in duo

Arséne Wenger has done extremely well, so early in the transfer window, to bring in two extremely talented players. Our experts say it was down to the aggression shown by Wenger and not being afraid to splash the cash. Both Bobby Moore and Pele have joined Arsenal football club for undisclosed fees.

Moore was highly rated by West Ham but I guess they couldn't turn down such a good offer from The Gunners, besides moving to such a club like Arsenal is definitely a step up in his career. Reports say Moore signed a 5 year deal which will see him earn 70,000 k p/w. This is a significant capture by Arsenal to add to their midfield that already consists of the likes of Liam Brady, Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Pires, Parlour.

Arsenal's next signing, was a signing that shocked many as they managed to sign Pele from Santos. For many, they thought Pele would never leave Santos, while many have been dreaming to see Pele play in the best league in the world, the premier league. The Gunners' strike-force now consists of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Nwankwo Kanu, Robin Van Persie and now the Brazilian maestro, Pele. The Brazilian signed a 4 year contract which will see him earn 26,000 k p/w.

Sporting Lisbon have confirmed that they rejected a 13 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo from Arsenal. Also Arsenal have had a bid for Diego Maradona rejected very bluntly. Meanwhile, the following players have left the club:

How much did you pay for Pele? :))
Hope you can come back soon Seni
I'm back! Decided not to leave since the exams are far away from now.
