Player change nationality?

So in short:
Started a career with Celtic
Established Parent team with Manchester United
2nd season they send Wilfried Zaha on loan, end of season I sign him for £6m

So, obviously Zaha's not going to get a huge amount of games for England playing in the SPL, but was capped once. Fast forward two seasons and 'Newly capped Ivory Coast star speaks of his pride'... Fast forward and 'Newly capped England star speaks of his pride'...

Just an irritating glitch or what's going on?

Definitely a glitch. I have a player in my squad who played for USA U19s and then England U21s + senior team, but a player cannot play for two different senior teams internationally. I guess this is just one of those nasty glitches happens rarely but cannot be prevented.

Could be those international caps were in friendlies. If that were the case, this would be possible.
