I think Mark Huges needs to sit down and play City for a season in fm09 then he might sign the right players.....

city wont b able to buy big untill they have established themselves as fairly successful and fightin relegation aint doin tht. no one will want to go to city part from players like bellamy untill thn, oh n it is against the rules for 1 owner to hold over a certain % of more thn 1 club cos of conflict of interes remember what hapend to chelsea n abramovich he had to sell sum of his moscow club so he was within the rules

Many of the world class players won't move to City because of a number of reasons:
City hasn't a well established reputation in European football competitions, they lack a lot of experience, there aren't many world class players on the team, the team has little hope of short term success, many world class players are very loyal to their clubs, the opportunities for winning any major competitions are low, the prospect of job security is also low because City can just buy replacements, and the squad doesn't have their own style or rhythm that they can fall back on when they don't know what to do in a match.

That aside, I find it easy to beat Man City in FM if you have a good defense and a team with good chemistry. My players just lock down their offensive options and then counter attack.

well known world class players will not be moving to man city for many years. Because foreign players intrests lie in the top four clubs,as they already have other top quality players. If you were in kaka's shoes would you move from milan to play alonside the likes of stephen ireland and craig bellamy when you could be playing alongside ronaldinho (i know), gattuso, pato, nesta and pirlo. Plus what all of you seem to be forgeting is that ITS NOT TOTTALY ABOUT THE MONEY. Now hear me out I know it would be nice to be earning 500k per week plus payouts for appearences, goals and competions.
A perfect example of this is displayed on FM09 as i agreeded a price for torres as man city offered him everything highest but he says he doent believe it would be the best move for him.

I got Dinamo to the UEFA CUP Final, and I didn't want to go down in the final.

I simulated it over 100 times, and didn't win once v Man City.

And my team was very strong! It was rediculious, the stats said It would go to PK's and Man City or Dinamo could win, and in the end.. Man City 100-0-0
