The ones that have no transfer value to them were the real transfers and in the DB I added them to the club. Others I was able to get a good transfer budget and I sold a few players. Most were signed by Cantona

First Match of Season!!

Well the result was not what I was looking for but it is only the first match and we should not be in panic mode. Hopefully we will rebound and take the league by storm. Also the Ref was a big prick.

Looks like you got good and well spanked. Why are you calling the ref a prick? No reds, no penalties, the only thing I can think of is disallowed goals. Keep talking like that, the FA is going to have its way with you.

The ref did wave off a goal and did not give a penalty when there should have been one.

August Review and Transfer Deadline Day

For the start of the 2013/14 campaign Villa was ok but not too great. Currently Villa is 16th. The first match against Newcastle was a disaster in all fronts. In the other two league matches Wigan on 24/8/13 and Fulham on 31/8/13 both ended in draws. On the bright side The Villans won their first match of the Capital One Cup against Coventry City by score of 3-1. Next up Villa will travel to Deepdale to face Preston North End.

Transfer Deadline Day

Transfer Deadline Day is over!! Villa was able to add one more key player but was not successful adding a star Goalkeeper. Sources say that AVFC tried to add Guillermo Ochoa of Ajaccio but his Work Permit failed. Also they tried to add Ron-Robert Zieler of Hannover but an agreement on the transfer fee was not meet.

The new addition to the club is 19 year old Brazilian Wing Back Igor Julião from Fluminense. The fee for him is said to be just under $7 Million.

David Bentley is a good signing, when I have played with Tottenham, he has always been a beast on the right hand side, gets in front of Lennon anyway bizarrely.

Aston Villa Goalkeeper Shay Given has just announced to RTE and The Birmingham Mail that he wants out. On Monday he stormed into the coaching office to tell Mike that he was leaving the club. The reason not enough playing time. One Villa Coach told us the meeting went south real quickly.

Shay: Coach listen here!! I want out of Villa!!!!!!!!!!

M: What????????????????????

Shay: That is right you are not playing me every match like I expect. I was ok last season when you rotated keepers but now it is just stupid.

M: Are you fucking serious?? It is only September and the season is still young. You will still have a chance to start.

Shay: No I want to start or leave!!!!!!!!!!!

M: Too damn bad son. I am not granting your request. Like I said it is still too early and there will be an opportunity to play.

Could something like this cause an upheaval in the Aston Villa Clubhouse? Fans are still puzzled at Director of Football Eric Cantona for signing players without Mike Korrigans approval. Earlier in the season Midfielder Barry Bannan took to twitter to express his displeasure of the way things were going. Will drama continue in Birmingham or will things get better?

NBCSN September Review of Aston Villa

With many reports of unhappy players it seems like Villa is still managing to have a good start to the season. Berry Bannan was one player who handed in a transfer request and it was granted. Mr. Korrigan said it was a ggod move since Barry has not been up to form since preseason. In the four matches during the month Villa never lost!! The club has managed to move up to 12th and will also be going to the 4th round of the Capital One Cup against Ipswich.
