Arsenal - The Return of The Legend!

Why Arsenal?

Arsenal are a team in real life, with a lot of history. They play some good football but they have been declining slightly over the past few years, having lost the likes of Nasri, Fabregas and van Persie! They have a fantastic squad with players like Walcott, Wilshere and Cazorla. I believe I can make them one of the best teams in the world within the first few seasons.

Who Will I Be?

I am going to be non-other than Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. I think in real life he will make a brilliant manager once he retires as he knows all you need to know about football!

Arsenal chairman, Chips Keswick, announced today that manager Arsene Wenger has retired, aged 63. It is thought that he has retired as he wants to spend more time with his family, especially his newly born grand-son.

Arsenal chairman Chips Keswick was spotted in a press conference after the announcement saying "We are saddened with the news that Arsene is going to retire, he has been a brilliant manager for us, with the stand out season being when we went unbeaten through the whole Premier League campaign. We wish him all the best for his future".

The bookies favorite to take the job is Arsenal legend Thierry Henry although Guus Hiddink and Marcelo Bielsa have both also been linked with the job.
Nice start, good manager. I will be following :D

I am doing an arsenal story so it will be interesting to see how you do compared to me. Good luck

Thierry Henry Takes Charge at Arsenal

Recently retired French international Thierry Henry has taken charge of Arsenal on a three year deal. The Arsenal legend was excited with the prospect of managing, let along managing Arsenal.

Thierry joins just days after fellow French manager Arsene Wenger announced his retirement from management. After years of Arsene building a good squad many fans feel Thierry will just ruin it as he has never managed a team before. But most fans feel happy with the appointment and are excited about the prospect of being managed by a legend.

I'm very excited to be here", said Thierry. "It has always been my dream to go into management, let along managing a team where I spent the best days of my career at. I intend to bring success back to Arsenal and develop the team as much as I can. I feel this is a brilliant chance to show how good I am at managing".

Many fans are wondering what sort of football he will get the team to play as they have never seen him managing! But speculation is that he will play the 4-2-3-1 formation or the 4-2-2-2 formation.

Chairman Chips Keswick was caught after the announcement had been made saying "Thierry is a brilliant person who I believe can lead this club forward. He is young and could be a world class manager in the future. He also knows all of the history about the club and knows how to get the best out of the players!"

TH: Its a great feeling to know that people are supporting you. I intend to re-pay there faith in me by winning trophies with Arsenal!

R: Are their any positions you need to strengthen?

TH: Yeah, I am going to look to strengthen the left back position as well as the striker position.

R: Could you tell us who your targets are?

TH:(Laughs), At this moment we are still looking but I can promise to Arsenal fans that we will make some signings to improve the squad even more!

R: Finally, where do you think you will finish in the league come the end of the season if you get the players you have targeted?

TH: I would like to say we could win the league but I think i'm being a bit greedy when I say that so I am going to say second or third!

Henry's First Player Confrontation

The door gets knocked

TH: Come in

I look up only to see Tomas Rosicky standing at my desk

TH: What is it Tomas, is something wrong?

TR: Well, yes there is boss, I come in to speak to you. I feel there are too many players in my position like Jack (Wilshere), Santi (Cazorla), and Ibrahim (Afellay).

TH: So, what do you want me to do? I brought Ibrahim in becasue I felt the postion needed to be improved.

TR: Well with all of the players in my position I feel I won't get any first team football.

I roll my eyes, knowing he won't let it go!

TH: Well Thomas if you look at the formation's we play we will need you.

TR: Boss, I want to be in the first team football week in, week out. I'm 31 now and getting to the end of my career I want to enjoy these days whilst I can.

TH: Santi, Jack and Ibrahim are all younger and need the football to develop, your fitness isn't so good either which means you will not be playing week in, week out!

TH: Look here, you will get some first team football but not every week as I have players better than you!

TR: I don't know why the chairman hired you as the manager, you are a right prick.

TH: What you have just said has made my mind up for me. You will not be playing in the first team again. I am going to make you train with the reserves and by the way you are not having your wages for 3 weeks! Now Leave!

TR: But boss, I didn't mean it...

TH: (Shouts) Get Out!

Tomas Leaves looking upset
Good luck as an Arsenal fan I shall follow closely :P

Baines, aged 27, was signed from Everton for a fee thought to be 26 million. He is believed to be first choice left back now, which means that Nacho Monreal could be on his way out of the club!

Baines had requested a transfer at Everton as he felt he needed to play for a bigger club. He was also thought to have had a fall out with current Everton manager Roberto Martinez over contract talks, which subsequently put him on the transfer list!
