It was a sunny Sunday morning. He had just decided that enough was enough.
There was something he desperately needed to do in order to fulfill his destiny. Waiting for the prophecy to come true was no longer viable.
He sold all his things on the black market along with some knowledge of future events to the highest bidder and relocated to London.

Ah, London. He had finally arrived after 20 long years in the making.
You see, when he was a little boy, coming down from swimming practice at the local club he decided to enter the bare sand football field where the main squad was about to train. The timing could not have been worse. Cause as the young man entered the pitch so were the professional players and inadvertently one of them just hit the young man and he slid knees and face first on the on the hard dirt African pitch, scrapping the knees and busting open his jaw.

The clubs’ physio who was also the clubs sangoma cleaned the boys wounds and apologized for the players behavior and explained that when they enter the pitch they must not stop for anything or anyone or risk losing the next game.
When he was about to patch his torn jaw he noticed something, something he had never seen before and had been searching for a long time. He had been searching for 150 years for a sign. A sign that he was not alone, that there was someone like him who could read between the time lines. Someone who could see further than the eye would ever allow.

In that boy the very old but young in body sangoma saw the future. He could be turned into doing good or doing evil. He had to make sure it was the first and not the latter as he could change the face of whichever field he chose to be in.
If any other sangomas knew about him, they surely would vote to kill him as he represented a big dangerous gamble. No one should have this much power.
The old and wise sangoma decided to follow the boy, to scout for his true nature and calling.

He realized that this boy was an avid fan of chess, tae kwon do, swimming, basketball and tennis. He was good at all these having even participated in national and regional championships. Just missing the commonwealth games due to injury.
So he realized his destiny had all to do with sports. He could now break the news to the sangoma council. The boy was not a danger as his true calling did not want outrageous power.

It had been 10 years since that day and now after having lurked in the shadows for this long the sangoma went to the boy and talked to him. Told him about this great plan the world had for him. That he would one day be famous and revered all over the
world.

The prophecy the sangoma said: On the day of the blue and red sky you will see what you have to do. What you were sent into this world for.

One day, whilst watching the tube a game started. It was 1999 Arsenal vs Chelsea. When he saw that hat trick by a fellow African man he knew inside him that he had to repeat those feats. So he started playing football at school. He was not talented like that tall African striker. He was slightly tall but very slim. Did not have the natural striker/winger skills. But from all those years of basketball, chess and tae kwon do he had the vision, the blocking skill and the elasticity, stamina to do it all. So he became a vicious central/defensive midfielder. He could read the passes, sprint to cover and block opponents just like its done in basketball. He was effective and loved the brawl. But this was a short career as his knee problems came back and his family wanted him to graduate and not waste time on a pitch.
So at an early stage and being the older son he left the pitch and concentrated on the books. His team missed him dearly as they no longer had the vicious, wild and stronger than his looks no nonsense midfielder.

His calling was still there and one day while strolling home he stopped to see his old team playing. They were being trashed by the rival school. He could see in the lines what could change so he approached the old coach and injured captain just before halftime and suggested a change. The coach did not like it but his former colleagues were morally bad, losing 3-0 so it wouldn’t hurt to listen. He explained them that the opposition did not have fast full backs, they were relying upon the central midfield numbers and strength. Everyone thought he was going to play to fight their midfielders. But no, he could not break the promise he had made to his mother and ill grandma. He would not play again.

He decided to tell them to play with 3 centre backs, 2 wing backs, one defensive midfielder, 2 centre midfielders, one attacking midfielder and a solo striker. They could not understand how they would win with a single striker. But try they did and boy oh boy did they turn things around. In the end the opposition midfielder was no longer functioning. They lost the game 4-3 but the foundation had been laid.
A solid first update. Maybe try adding a few pictures or headings just to make it less intimidating but good luck and I will follow :)

For the next few months he helped his school coach get the best out of the players they had. They finished the season 4th coming from being 12th out of 13.
In the next years he kept helped the team win 8th championships. Some of his former team mates went on to become professionals and representing the national team.
It was as if all was well and that he had fulfilled his destiny. But inside him a thirst was brewing. He knew that having just helped make some of the countries best was not enough. He needed more.

So for the next few years he learned all he could and suffered in silence. He suffered because all of his favorite teams were not doing well. At the home front after years of domination Ferroviário de Maputo was playing second fiddle to Liga Muçulmana, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was being trashed season after season by F.C.P and only won a championship every 5 years. His beloved gunners were fighting for 4th and 5th. His heart was destroyed but then on his 30th birthday lightning struck 3 times that night and he saw the old sangoma in his dreams, who simply told him to follow the pain in his heart. Heal that pain.

So he thought, well this must mean I have to get myself to London. From all my teams they are the ones hurting the most. Season after season without any sort of silverware. At least the others were winning the occasional cup and league…

So on that sunny april Sunday he reached London with a backpack containing a book, a change of clothes and his trusted laptop. All his other possessions were a cell phone, a tablet and 10.000 pounds resulting from the sale of all his goods.
Straight into a cabbie his first words were: North London please, Emirates Stadium full steam.
http://http://s162.photobucket.com/user/el_loco365/media/londoncab.jpg.html

The cabbie laughed and told him the game would only start in 5 hours so there was a lot of time. Did he not want a tour of the city? Find a hotel?
He clearly stated: NO, Emirates Stadium now!!

It was a sunny day but suddenly the weather started changing. The closer they got to the stadium the worst it got.

Looks like its going to rain said the cabbie. Do you want to stop and buy a coat or umbrella?
He just smiled and said: where I come from, rain is considered a good omen. So worry not.

He got to the stadium and asked for a ticket. Which one the lad selling asked. He said I just need to see my arsenal playing. I don’t care, even if I had to hang at the lamp post I would.
So the lad issued a ticket. Upon looking at the ticket lightning struck, he looked up, smiled and put the ticket on his pocket.

He decided to tour the premises and have lunch before the game. When he entered the stadium the 2nd lightning struck he was happy.

A few hours later he decided to look for his seat. It was number 28, he was all smiles because 28 was the total sum of his birthday: 12-05-1982 =28 and it was also the reverse of his favorite number: 82. So he thought I must be lucky.

Little did he knew but there was a competition being held at the day. Three lucky persons would get a chance of going to the locker room at half time and meet the team.
Just before the match, the draw started. The announcer just calling out numbers, 34156 and a lady rose all happy, 56875 and no one rose, oh well we don’t have a full house he said. 16785 and this acne faced teenager jumped all happy. And the last one ladies and gentlemen, we have a odd number here. Please rise the person with the following ticket: this number has been on the back of Paul Shaw, Amaury Bischof, Stephen Hughes, Graham Barrett, Kolo Toure, Michael Black and now belong on the back of ever present Kieran Gibbs. Please rise the person with the ticket number 28!!

On that moment lightning struck for the 3rd time and the sky’s opened. Rain was everywhere and in an instant it all ended.

He was dumb struck, held the ticket but could not believe in his eyes his ticket number was on the big screen and soon he also was.
The first half was very bad. The score was a 2-2 draw but the team was not creating chances, not shooting. It was very poor football they only managed to score because they were gifted those goals. An own golf and a calamitous clearance that put the ball on Walcott’s feet. It was easier to score than to miss

When the referee blew for half time it was a pleasant sound. Because he could now go to the locker and also because maybe now arsenal could regroup and come back strong.
