Looks like a pretty good squad, but I think you need a quality Gk!

AAN- Thanks mate. Yeah, the youngster (Alberti) actually looks better than Toboll :)
You say you don't need to bring any signings in? I'd say you lack a complete central midfield and a right winger?

In my formation I don't use a central midfielder and we have some decent wingers actually. The team report is not that good because my assistant has low JPA/P and all that. I trust in my 'captain's call' esbech, and don't you try to change that :))
Hey walter, in the next update, can you show us the tactics you are using please?

Sure thing, was planning on doing that anyway :D
Looks like a promising start, will be following this for sure. Good luck!

Thanks mate, good to hear :)
Still it would be nice if you could flesh out your first team a little, no?
Really nice so far, Walter, Keep it up! P.S. Nice name for the dog! My greyhound is called Rosie hehe.

Toon- I started to regret it a little but I think we got by fine. I just wanted to see where our weaknesses were and then patch them up in January or later and I think I did January.

FMProject Thanks :D Haha I know :P

August: It All Begins

I came into the club with my first game being against Cloppenburg. I was hoping to get a win on the board because that would really put me on a good trail. Unluckily though, we were drawn against Bundesliga outfit 1. FSV Mainz which would be hard to overcome. But before Mainz we were playing SW Rehden, who we also had a chance of beating - and after the Mainz game we were versing Neumunster, which was another chance to put some points on the board. So how would we fare?

Against Cloppenburg we brushed them aside, coming from 1-0 behind to score three goals and run out easy victors. This did well for my leadership with the team and it boosted the team's confidence in me. It seems the tactic has worked well and Arnold Suew started brightly up front.

The next game versus SW Rehden was a tight affair butwe came out 2-1 winners and I felt we deserved to win that game. We looked a better side and a win is a win so I will take that result.

Next up, we hosted Bundesliga outfit 1. FSV Mainz where we were mainly looking to stem the flow of goals on their side. Unfortunately we couldn't do this and they scored three times without reply which really hurt. I told the players not to worry, though, as we were always the underdogs and there was no pressure on us to get a result.

We finished off the month at home, this time against league opponents. A bore draw was the final result versus Neumunster (I like their name) and I told the boys we were a little under par in that match.

August Table

With those wins on the board we are elevated to 2nd place in the league table, only behind fierce rivals Holstein Kiel, who are also travelling very well. We are so far undefeated in the league and long may this continue. Next month hopefully we can leapfrog Kiel and create a gap inbetween first and the rest of the pack.
Quality update :D
wellsy Thanks mate :)

Mainz Brush Aside Minnows To Progress

1. FSV Mainz progressed to the 2nd Round of DFB-Pokal after soundly beating Regional Division North side Lubeck on their own turf by three goals to nil. The Bundesliga side lived up to expectations as there was no upset.

1. FSV Mainz lived up to the pressure on themselves to beat minnows Lubeck in the DFB-Pokal 1st Round, avoiding an upset that was never really on the cards. The Bundesliga outfit won the game by three goals to nil and will now progress to the second round.

It was Lubeck's new manager Chop's first defeat in his new job. He said to Bild on Saturday, "I am not too fussed about this result, there was never any pressure on us to get a result or to even be competitive. I think we played well in our own way but they played better."

The Englishman, 25, also said he liked some of the individual performances from his side in the game. "There were positive signs from some players," he added. Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel was present at a press conference of his own. He said to the press that they were already preparing for the next round.

"Really, we got the easy tie in this match. We won it, now we go to the next round," the young manager explained, before adding, "No disrepect to Lubeck, who are a good side, but we will face tougher teams in the competition."

Mainz will now have a week or two in the Bundesliga to prepare for the next round clash, whereas Lubeck will now have sole focus on the title race in the Regional Division North, where they are currently second.
