Skeletor Thanks mate, hopefully we can keep it up :)

The Ultimatum

Last week I took a glance at the job centre and noticed some interesting vacancies, including the open Leyton Orient post. I decided to apply for it but never knew it would get out into the news and in the public eye.

The fans were not happy but the board were seething and offered me an ultimatum: to resign with my reputation at the club unharmed, or to apologize for my actions. This was a hard decision because if Leyton Orient came calling, it would be hard to say no - but if I resigned and didn't get the job.

This bit of news didn't help at all, and all my instincts were telling me to resign. But this would betray me and the club, because Orient might go for someone else and yet again I'd be left unemployed. I decided to apologize for my actions.

This was a good choice, as Leyton Orient appointed Michael Appleton only a day after I apologized, so I know I made the right choice.
Good decision although it would have been a nice switch. Glad you stayed though.

LFC Thanks, I am glad with the decision I made because I probably would've given up if I moved because of the 46 game season :) Thanks for reading
Great decision Walter, would be such a shame if you got fired!

Madridista Thanks Madridista, I am happy with my decision. And yeah it would be, but *spoiler alert* I don't get fired ;) Thanks for reading.

December: Burning Out

In all honesty, we were horrible this month. Dropping points here, there and everywhere. On more than one occasion we have been guilty of dropping points when really it is an easy fixture. This is something I must cancel out this bad habit otherwise we will drop down the table.

The month commenced in big fashion - that being fierce rivals Holstein Kiel, who were one of the powerhouses of the league. This was a big game not just because of the rivalry but the league position. We came away with a draw and I must say I am happy with that result.

Werder Bremen II were the next up and I expected a win from this match and we got that putting three past their keeper. Haris Huseni is quickly becoming a key player while Jakubiak is doing well in the hole behind him.

The third match of the month was against mid-table Wilhelmshaven and this is one of the fine examples of our bad habit. A match we really should have won because we are a much better side than them. 2-2 is not a fair reflection of our abilities.

After that came a disappointing result against SW Rehden. This is an even better example of our bad habit. Rehden are well below us in the table and a 3-1 loss is just not good enough. I let my players know this after the game.

Luckily we finished the month on a high note, a solitary goal enough to put us in the lead against Cloppenburg. This match we were better, and played for ninety minutes - not eighty - and got three points to keep us up there in the fight for promotion.

League Table

My worst fears were confirmed, and our inconsistency cost us dearly as Havelse took our 3rd place spot. Now promotion is looking slimmer and slimmer and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting smaller .
Even the 4th place it's very good for a team like Lubeck, so don't be sad, keep up the good work mate!
AAN Thanks mate, appreciate it.

January-February

NOTE: Sometimes from now on I will be writing two months in one update just to catch up to where I am in game.

Despite a wonder goal from winger Marcus Steinwarth - we crumpled to a loss to the team right behind us in the table - Neumunster. Our bad form continues and hopefully we can pick it up soon or our promotion hopes will be well and truly gone.

But it seemed we hit a purple patch of good form - beating St. Pauli II and Meppen on our own turf comfortably. In this match we worked well, controlling the ball but keeping our positions.

It was the next two matches, though, that we looked like a machine. Both games were away games and the first match of the two, we destroyed Goslar by four goals to one. I was ecstatic about this result. Then we went to Hamburg II and we came away with a 3-1 for three points and a boosted goal difference.

But that was all stopped by Weiche, where they beat us by a solitary goal in the second half. This was not so pleasant and I was really saddened by this result. Luckily, we recovered against tough opposition Oldenburg at home and got one more win to boost our morale.

The League Table

We are now equal on points with rivals Kiel after a fantastic couple of months. We find ourselves two wins ahead of Halvese which gives us some breathing space. Hopefully we can push on and try and work a miracle.
Its quite close now, wonder if you can get promoted this season

Things are going to go down to the wire aren't they! I really hope you can push on and get the positive results that you need to! Good luck.
