Bale Leaves Spurs for Real Madrid

Welsh superstar Gareth Bale has officially left Tottenham Hotspur to join Liga BBVA runners-up Real Madrid in a reported world-record fee, around £85,000,000 some sources say. Former Chelsea manager André Villas-Boas has stated that his future is now in doubt due to this deal and a reported board-room bust-up with chairman Daniel Levy. The Portuguese man has brought in many signings, bringing in Vlad Chiriches from Steaua, Etienne Capoue from Toulouse, Paulinho from Corinthians, Nacer Chadli from FC Twente, Christian Eriksen from AFC Ajax, Erik Lamela from AS Roma and Roberto Soldado from Valencia.

Newspapers this week have been filled with Villas-Boas' threat to leave. 'AVB to go?' Read the Sun, 'AVB/Levy bust up?' read the Guardian and 'Messi to join Wigan' said the Daily Mail.

Spurs fans are demanding a statement from chairman Levy to explain the goings on at White Hart Lane at the moment but we will have to wait for that.
I will definitely be following, good luck :)
Good luck :D
Alex: Cheers :)

Wellsy: Thanks mate

Tottenham Hotspur: Levy Issues Statement

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has today announced the resignation of manager André Villas-Boas. "Today I will tell fans and media that our manager André Villas-Boas has resigned at 11:23 AM this morning. This is a big disappointment for us as he did great things for this team, my team. He brought in some great players in this transfer window. We are now looking at potential candidates for the job and we will make sure we pick the right person for the job"

Meanwhile in the boardroom...

"Hello?"

"Hello, who is this?"

"Daniel Levy, chairman of Tottenham Hotspur"

"Ok, why are you calling me?"

"Here we have a list of candidates of potential managers following the resignation of our previous manager. You are top of the list as you were here before and fans respected you well and I think you can do a good job with the players we currently have"

"Ok, where do we discuss and when?"

"Tomorrow at Hotspur Way"

"Ok, we'll discuss then, thanks Daniel"

"My pleasure"

Joe Jordan Returns To Spurs

Former Leeds and Man United striker Joe Jordan has been announced by Daniel Levy today as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur. Jordan had previously been employed as assistant manager under ex-boss Harry Redknapp, when Redknapp moved to QPR Jordan followed him there as well. Joe Jordan had a famous on-field fight with former A.C. Milan hardman Gennaro Gattuso in their Champions League tie against the Italians. He is held in high regard at both Leeds United and Manchester United and broke the record transfer fee for a player to move from an English club to another English club when he moved from Leeds to Man United for £350,000 in 1978 with Leeds in decline after their European Cup (Now Champions League) loss to Bayern Munich in 1975 which Jordan had played in.

When playing for Man United, Jordan dislocated his jaw against Spurs after clashing with keeper Milija Aleksic. He then moved to A.C. Mila which he described in 2011 as the best move of his career.

Jordan had said Daniel Levy had phoned him straight away after the resignation of André Villas-Boas and said he had full confidence in him.

Great update, keep it up!
Great updates man! Good luck!
Joe Jordan is a Spurs legend after what happened with Gattuso! :D

Transfers

It's been a busy transfer window for Joe Jordan as he has signed 6 new players for the new Premier League campaign for Tottenham Hotspur.

Kevin was my first signing for Spurs, I watched a lot of Bundesliga last season and he was a very good player and stood out amongst many great players there. He is good off the ball and has a natural crossing ability and can pop in with the odd goal now and again.

Neil was injured all last season but before that he was one of the Premier League's best left-backs and has bags of potential. He and Danny Rose will battle for the left-back spot

Many people recommended a young Mexican striker for me. He played for Chivas and I went to see him play many times and he was magical, I have sent him out on loan to Leyton Orient as he needs experience before he can challenge for a starting spot in our side.

I watched a lot of Serie A as well last season. There was a huge range of world-class strikers there and I was surprised to see pundits not see Abel in that way so I was in for him straight away.

Not many people see Argentinian football as a big league so not many people pay attention the talent that is there so I capitalised on the opportunity to sign the best center-back there for such a bargain fee.

Of course, Hugo Lloris has a better goalkeeping ability than John but if John persists in training he will be more than a back-up keeper to us.

It was sad to see Gomes go but he was sat in the reserves with a wage that was unwanted and with John Ruddy coming in it pushed him further down the pecking order here.

This was an extremely hard decision to make. Younes was a brilliant center back for us but Guillermo Burdisso was available and he is at the same level as Younes Kaboul but Man City were offering much more than what we paid for Burdisso and we also have room to make an offer for another player but I feel all areas of the squad are ready for the big kick-off vs Arsenal soon.

Thank you Joe.

Thank you.
Some great signings :)

Cheers, have 12M left for other transfers and might have a cash injection later on, you never know ;)

Spurs agree deal for Di Natale

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that 42-time Italian international Antonio Di Natale in a deal reportedly worth around £5,000,000. Di Natale has been a very loyal player to both of his teams, staying at Empoli for 8 years and joining fellow Serie A side Udinese and staying there for 9 years. Di Natale really found his form at Udinese in the 2009-10 season where he scored 29 goals in 35 appearances, in 2010-11 he scored 28 in 36 and in 2011-12, 23 in 36.

Spurs and Udinese fans believe Spurs have found a bargain in Di Natale even if he is getting older at the age of 34 years old. Di Natale joined Udinese for £70,000 in 2004 and scored 7 goals in 33 appearances for Zebrette. He can also play left-wing.

Di Natale said on joining Spurs "It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League. Ever since I was given my first professional contract back in 1996 I always hoped I would play in this league for a big team. Today, my dream has come true and I want to thank Tottenham Hotspur for giving me this fantastic opportunity and I will put every single bit of effort in me to prove myself"

Good fee paid... how long for though?
