paying 38m for him was really stupid, i agree totally. i double checked his stats and from jan to the end of the season= 1 goal, 2 assists. I have no clue why United wanted him, it was an offer out of the blue, no inquiries about him at all before their offer. I jumped at it to say the least lol.
I dunno if its happened with any of you before but, I cannot get anyone to WANT to come to City, and if they do come its for money like Arshavin's, and results like Arshavin's was. i can get bids accepted but the players always turn the move down. anyone else have that happen ?

every time I beginning in England, man city buy arshavin, hamsik, zhirkov for 35 million each..so...When you play a lot with the man city and buy arshavin , he field will increase the value and normal you will sell him with double price.

i passed on zhirkov and bought arshavin,i wonder why the price increase tho. He did ab-so-freaking-lutely nothing for my team and still sold for double....

zhirkov is a good player in real life, works hard and has quality to add to eat. a real team player for any team.

but this arshavin is the opposite and an absolute c*nt imo. Has a bit of quality though. But would never ever buy him to my team.

I remembered an interesting transfer from ages ago. It was one of the old fm's, or possibly cm. Joe Cole was still playing for West Ham. I was playing with Man Utd and bought him for some sum which is irrelevant. The point being i sold him to Juventus after one season for 150m pounds.

The weirdest transfer i have been apart of is from an older version of the game too. I signed Sylvan Wiltord from Arsenal when he was old, and had him on a 120mil pounds release clause. A year later Barcelona offer him a coaching role and he accepts, i get the relaease clause money of 120mil.

It's a sad view but I think it is the correct one. You need to invest to become better, Everyone is doing because it is needed. Have you ever seen a team become champions without investing? I haven't..... Every club has done it, Chelsea started with Abrahmovic, then Manchester and Liverpool. Maybe that's the reason why Arsenal can't compete the whole season for the title..... They don't invest as much as the rest.....
