Great signings mate! Also a great deal selling Valencia! Keep up the good work!
How on earth did you get Varane for £11m? Thats a very good piece of business. Bargain I'd say

Yeah, I really don't trust Valencia. Nani is better when it comes to FM, more consistent than real life. Real Madrid wanted to buy Valencia but Chelsea got him. Chelsea has got full loads of AM and Wingers now.

His agent offered him to me saying he could be available for around 11 millions. Since defence is the strongest part of my team with Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Smallings and Phil Jones, but still it was Varane and that was just for 11m so i snapped him up. On the side note, no high wages as well just 10k more than his wage more than his Madrid contract. He would be my 1st choice in coming seasons as Ferdinand is slow and Vidic is getting old.

August-End of Transfer Window

The time for competitive fixtures started with a typical Manchester United Mass Injuries with Carrick, Cleverley, Fabio, Buttner added to the medical table alongside Young, Rooney and Fletcher.
The Competitive fixture started with Community Shield match against the championship side Wigan which marked the debut of David Beckham as the manager of Manchester United. Goals from Vidic and Kagawa gave an easy victory and the first trophy for the manager as well.

David Beckham after the match,"First Competitive Match and a trophy. It's nice to win something in your first competitive match and this will really be a boost for the whole team. We want to win everything and we will give our best in every competition."

The First premier league match pitted United against Norwich at home which was won courtesy of a Van Persie Goal. United lacked the creativity in the middle of the park as both Cleverley and Carrick were out and Fellaini was yet to gel in with the team. Rafael was out injured for 10-12 days in the match.

The Second Match saw one of the worst matches ever played by the United team when both Phil jones and Robin Van Persie were sent off after more than one bookable offense against Southampton away from home. The Skipper Vidic turned out the savior for the Nine man United as his headed goal was the only one in the game.

Both Van Persie and Phil Jones are suspended for the match against Everton which leaves the team pretty thin considering the current injury problems.

Transfer Update

Manchester United has sold Anderson to Benefica for 11.5m and Federico Macheda has left for Stoke for 4.1m while United has brought in Douglas Costa to United for a fee in the region of 8.25m. United has managed to balance the book and make a small profit from transfer as well.

Champions League Group Draw

Manchester United has been drawn against Shaktar, Zenit and Viktoria Pizen.

David Beckham gave his review to the official website of Manchester United about the month, "We started the month well despite a large pool of injured players by winning the Community Shield and our start to the League was with a win which made me quite happy but the next game which yeilded two red cards limiting us to just 9 men for a better part of an hour was quite upsetting as we will be facing Everton without some key players but still winning that match shows how strong our determination is. So we need your support, Glory Glory Manchester United."

He sure is. And getting him for such small price was good as well. Also he was transfer-listed and was on verge of joining a russian side before I hijacked the deal.

We're still undefeated and we have carried over our pre-season form to competitive matches. The signings are gelling in quite nicely and we are starting to score some goals. We will a lot to cheer for if the players continue like this."

Thanks. Results have been good but we are only starting to hit our stride at the moment.

October- Fixtures and Results

October started with a CL group stage match away from home against Zenit. United dominating the early exchanges surprisingly went a goal down with an magnificent goal from Hulk. United having numerous shots weren't able to finish off the chances as Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney squanders half a dozen Clear Cut Chances. When it seemed as though United were on the verge of defeat, it was in-form striker Robin Van Persie who came off the bench to equalize in the 73rd minute of the match. United however weren't able to get that second goal and the match finished 1-1. Fellaini was injured for the rest of the month in the match.

After the match, it has been rumored that Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez got an old style hair-dryer treatment from David Beckham. Beckham was really frustrated with the chances that weren't converted by his two classy strikers.

United then won an away match against Aston Villa 6-1 with Costa and Van Persie both scoring braces and Jones and Evans on the score-sheet as well. It was then followed by a home win against Sunderland 2-0 with Cleverley and Van Persie(who missed a penalty later) on the score-sheet.

United faced off Shaktar away from home in the CL Group Match where they came out 3-1 victorious with Fletcher, Kagawa and Van Persie on the score-sheet.

United then defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 away from home with Jones Cleverley and Rooney on target. The final game of the month saw United cruise past Huddersfield 2-0 with Hernandez and Rooney scoring each to go through to the next stage of Capital one Cup.

Phil Jones, the England defender who has been playing in the holding midfield role for Manchester United scooped the Barclay's Player of the Month award for October. Jones who has been in superb form throughout the month has flourished in the midfield role in absence of Fellaini, the Barclay's Player of the Month award winner for September. Jones has been said to be very happy with the new role for his club where he has scored two goals this month.

David Beckham has also won the Barclay's Manager of the Month for October. It is the first time Beckham has won the accolade. Beckham had this to say in his review of the month column for the official Manchester United Website,
"The Month was just so great this time. We played 3 Premier League match, all of which we were able to win convincingly and we did great in europe barring zenit match which we weren't able to win and we were unlucky that match, we won on a very difficult trip to ukraine and we are through to the next round of Capital One Cup. The team is finding is easier to score which is always nice. All in all it has been a superb month."
Great results! Perfect start mate! Keep it up!
2013-09-17 06:39#135154 AAN : Great results! Perfect start mate! Keep it up!

The team really has been great. I had a little problem in midfield trying to find a good balance but it was hard. Phil Jones is not that good in defense but when in midfield he's been a beast. I will convert him to a midfielder now.
Nice start, bargain transfers, impressive results, and a great manager! Good luck
