A major accident near The Theater of Dreams

The New Manchester United Manager, David Moyes has been found seriously injured in a car crash near the THEATER OF DREAMS, the stadium of Red Devils. The Red Car was found totally destroyed but David Moyes has survived the accident after being rushed to the nearby hospital. Moyes, who was returning to the stadium after finalizing the deal to bring Everton star, Fellaini to Old Trafford drove straight through the woods. It has been estimated that David Moyes may need 2 years or more to recover physically but the trauma may lead him to never be able to return to football management or any stressful job.

The News has shocked the whole footballing world as Moyes had been appointed the successor of Sir Alex Ferguson just weeks ago and hasn't even represented the team to a single competitive and friendly match. Fans and players flooded the hospital to show their support to the Moyes family.

The Manchester United Board has released a statement in their official website, "We have learnt of a sad news of our Manager David Moyes being involved in a serious car accident who was lucky to survive but due to the trauma,he may never be able to get back to work. The Manchester United Board will pay for all the expenses for the hospitalization and medical facilities while also providing his family with all the money stated in his contract for the full duration of the contract as well as the insurance money to help his family. We wish him the best in his recovery and hope that you get well soon, on behalf of the whole Manchester United Family. As for now, the club will be looking for an interim manager who will lead the club for the time being and may well take over permanently if he drives the team forward."

It is believed that Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary former manager of Manchester United may come out of retirement for the job on a temporary basis or will be suggesting a new manager to the board. However many different managers are being touted as the next (interim)Manager of the Red Devils.

What will the future hold for the RED DEVILS???
Nice start! Good luck!

Is this the title of the story? It seems a bit strange and suggests that it will be about that. Otherwise, it's a good start :)

The title will obviously change. It's just to draw the attention towards the story at the moment. It will change after the new manager is announced. Till then, it will remain like that.

Sir Alex refuses to come out of retirement

It was thought that Sir Alex would consider coming out of retirement in order to take over the job of Manager of Manchester United for at least a season but the legendary Scot has denied those rumors. When asked by the press he stated, "I don't have any plans to come out of my retirement. 26 years, I was with them and it will not be 27. I am too old for Manchester United now. I will pray for David Moyes but its not going to be me who replaces the man brought in to replace me. But I have suggested a new manager to the board who can succeed here but I can't tell you who, as I am yet to talk to him. Till then, you people from media can guess who he is."

Many managers have been put in by the media as favorites but who will the new manager of Manchester United be???

Who will be the next manager of Manchester United?

This Special Report takes a look at the Vacant Managerial Post of arguably the most popular club in the world right now after a tragic car accident which led to David Moyes out of action indefinitely. Sky Sports takes a look at the main contenders for the post.

1. Arsene Wenger

The successful manager of the premier league rival, Arsenal might be tempted to jump ships to United as the fans haven't been in his side recently and with just a year left on his contract it could be possible for the Frenchman to shock the whole world by completing the switch but will the champions approach him is the question here.

2. Louis Van Gaal

Raised in the tradition of "total football," van Gaal is a staunch advocate for attacking football, but not always popular for his strict coaching methods. He could be tempted to join Manchester United after a successful record with almost every club that he has managed and may be the best man to lead the Red Devils.

3. Fabio Capello

The Former England Manager has also been listed as a potential target for the manager post by the media. Would he be the best man to lead the team after having much knowledge of the English football as United focus on more English Players.

4. Jurgen Klopp

The Manager of Dortmund is the bookmaker's favorite to take over the job as he's young and pretty successful for someone his age. But will he leave a Dortmund club that he has raised from the ashes to become a european powerhouse? Will he even be approached by the Red Devils?

The other names that have been linked with the job are,
Antonio Conte
Felix Magath
Walter Mazzarri
Martin Jol
Harry Redknapp
Massimiliano Allegri and so on.
My guess is Paul Scholes or Eric Cantona, just 'cause :P

I beg you, please don't make Wenger the United manager!

Surely he won't be.

The Press Conference, The New Manager

Manchester United called a press conference in a hurry informing all the press to attend as it was time to unveil the new manager for the Red Devils.

The Conference Room had a table set up and soon the co-chairmen of the Red Devils, Joel and Avram Glazer made their way to the conference table.

And following them, to the shock of everyone, entered Sir Alex Ferguson and Chief Executive, Ed Woodward and Assistant Manager, Steve Round. The Photographers seem too busy in clicking the pictures. While they all take their seats.

SAF, "Now let's start the press conference??"

"So Sir Alex, How does it feel to come out of retirement and getting back to Manchester United as the new manager for the second time??"

SAF, "Wait a minute, I am not coming out of retirement and in fact a old man like me will not be the manager now. I am actually here just to troll you guys.(With a smile on his face) In fact I am here to introduce the new manager of the Most famous club in the world. So without further delay, Let me introduce you, the new manager of Manchester United."

All eyes roll to the curtains which slowly rises and a man with a classy hairstyle enters, to the awe of everyone, its David Beckham. The Former Manchester United Player, The Former England Captain and one of the Fergie's Fledglings. This came as a surprise to all the journalists and the people attending the conference. They seem shell-shocked. David walks and poses for the photographers to click some pics, and makes his way towards his seat.

SAF, "So The new manager of Manchester United is in front of you, and He's David Beckham, The former United Player and England Captain. Now let's proceed with the questions that you've got."

"Sir Alex. Totally unexpected? But without any past experience of managing a club, is David really ready to manage the Red Devils??"

SAF, "Well, He hasn't managed a club before but he knows what needs to be done and how it needs to be done. He's a natural leader and he has knowledge of football and the tactical as well as technical side of the game. Plus he knows more about the club than others so I think he is ready. What do you think David?"

DB, "As far as managing a club goes, I am confident as I have been part of some of the most successful clubs in different region. I started playing football here so I know the heritage of this club. I played at Real Madrid, AC Milan, in US with LA Galaxy and I also played at PSG. So I know the tactical side of the game and I learned it from the best coaches out there. I am quite confident in my ability and as far as I know I can also market this club to the Top Players who will join the club. So I am quite Confident."

"David, How does it feel to be the new manager of a club as large as Manchester United?"

DB, "Well, I am honored that I was considered but I never expected it even after Sir Alex gave me a call, I couldn't believe it. Sir Alex is the greatest manager ever to walk the face of the earth and him having faith in me, is the top honour for me."

"David, You just recently retired from active playing at PSG after having a successful club and international career. Is it too early to enter the management?"

DB, "Nope, Not at all. I am quite fresh from my learning experience in France. I have been a senior figure in most of the clubs in my later part of the career and I have got the grips in management and it really was the only thing that I had left to do so it is quite refreshing that I was able to enter management this early in my career."

"Do you think that you can command the respect from your players as some of them, Giggs and Ferdinand used to play alongside you? Do you think you can command respect from them and from the younger generation?"

DB, "I have been a natural leader in the pitch in my playing days and I will be honest with you. I think I can command respect from my younger players as they know who I am and as for the older players, they are my friends whom I respect a lot myself. And I know that they will help me command the respect that I need. They respect the club and the authority so it makes my job quite easy on that basis."

"You are seen as the fashion icon and a legend in media as well. Will that hamper your commitments for the team?"

DB, "I will give my best for the team. There will be no outside interference and I can guarantee this."

"How much pressure do you find yourself in at the moment?"

DB, "Well, the pressure is always there, Players are under pressure to perform and managers are under pressure to get results. As an player I have coped high pressure in crucial matches and even World Cup matches and I have emerged a better person there and I hope I will come out better as a manager at every step and every hurdle."

"With almost every team strengthened what do you think of United's title chances this season?? Will you be able to retain the title?"

DB, "Certainly yes. We need to retain the title. It's not going to be easy though. Premier League has had such an influx of world class talent this season both players and managers, its going to be hard but we were champions for a reason. So it's normal that challengers bulk themselves up so that they can challenge us again. Plus Moyes signed Fellaini who is a world-class talent, is big and is versatile to cover our weaker areas while I have been promised near 50 Million to further strengthen the side. So I am confident on that front as well."

"So You have a clear transfer targets and players who need to be sold?"

DB, "Well, This is the team of winners. So I will need to evaluate all the players so they will get some chance to prove themselves but I wouldn't hesitate to replace them with new players if they cannot remain consistent because Its hard to retain a trophy rather than winning it. So that's what I am looking for."

"Your strategy for the long term?"

DB, "Well, I hope to emulate Sir Alex, as he's the greatest manager of all time and build the team from the youth when available while adding talents who can be key players for us."

"So it was nice to know your plans, but on the tactical side, do you plan to employ old school tactics that you used to play in or there will be surprise in tactical point of view as well?"

DB, "There will be changes. I can assure you that. We cannot remain static and must change according to our opposition and our strengths so that will be my priority. We will play attacking football and not with the outdated methods."

And with a little more simple questions, the conference ended.

End Of Pre-Season Friendlies

Manchester United played 5 friendlies in the pre-season in order to tune up the team cohesion. Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney And Darren Fletcher took no part in friendlies as all were out injured and may be available only when League matches start. Against PSG, the former club of manager David Beckham everything went smooth as United took the lead in the first 20 seconds through Rafael, eventually winning the match 3-2 away from home against a quite strong side. The victory was followed by draw against Stade de Reims, Victory against AC Ajaccio and Antwerp all away from home.

It was followed by the special match against the reigning Champions of Europe, FC Bayern at Old Trafford as a way of unveiling the Manager to the home fans. The Fans maynot had been expecting a victory against the European champions but United thrashed the Strong Bayern Side with the final scoreline of 4-0 with a brace from Nani and a goal each from Van Persie and Phil Jones.

David Beckham after the match against Bayern when asked about the Pre-season.
"Very Good. More than I had imagined. Winning 4 games out of 5 and drawing 1 is a good one when considering defeated opponents included PSG and FC Bayern, the current european champions. The team are playing quite well in the formation which has been modified a little from Sir Alex's 4231 and they look quite good with the traditional 442 and my own 4132. So I am hoping a lot from this team this season. We have depth and strength so we will be okay."

Transfer Update

Some transfer Dealings were Completed in the pre-season as Antonio Valencia left for Chelsea for 20million pounds while United recruited Raphael Varane from Madrid for 11million pounds and double scooped for southampton pair of Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse for a combined 14.5million pounds. It has been rumored that Anderson will be leaving the club soon in order to balance the book while Douglas Costa has been rumored to be joining Manchester United Soon.

Beckham on transfer dealings,"Well, we let go of Valencia as we got more value from the paying team and we brought in Varane and the pair of Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse for some money. I certainly hope that the pair can fulfill their potential in United while I think Varane provides us with enough cover and potential to enforce our already strong defence. We might still be doing some business though."

United will play the Community Shield Next against the relegated Wigan before starting with the League Fixtures.
