History
• Juventus were founded by students of the Massimo D'Azeglio school in Turin. After starting with pink and black shirts, Juve switched to black and white stripes after ordering new shirts from the same English firm that produced kits for Notts County FC. Wearing the new colours, Juventus won the league for the first time in 1905.
• In 1923 the Agnelli family, founders of car company Fiat, took over the club and Eduardo Agnelli was named president. Juventus became an established force, winning five consecutive league titles from 1930 to 1935 under coach Carlo Carcano. The domination continued after the war with John and Carl Hansen, John Charles and Omar Sívori, the latter pair linking up with local hero Giampiero Boniperti in 1957/58 to help Juve become the first Italian side to claim ten Scudettos.
• Victory over Athletic Club in the 1977 UEFA Cup final brought a first European trophy and more would follow in the 1980s. With Paolo Rossi, Michel Platini and Zbigniew Boniek, Juve's domestic domination continued and they won the 1984 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and 1985 European Champion Clubs' Cup, though the latter was overshadowed by the tragedy at the final's Heysel Stadium.
• In 1990 Juventus moved from the Stadio Comunale to the Stadio Delle Alpi, and returned with the Italian title in 1994/95. Twelve months later, after beting AFC Ajax on penalties in the final, Marcello Lippi's side came back with the UEFA Champions League.
• Since then they have lost three finals and a Serie A match-fixing scandal led to Juventus being relegated to Serie B for the first time in their history in 2006. Led by former midfielder Didier Deschamps, Juve bounced back immediately.
• In 2011/12, the club moved into their new Juventus Stadium and celebrated by taking their first title since 2003, with Antonio Conte's side finishing the campaign unbeaten.

Club records
Most appearances: Alessandro Del Piero (705)
Most goals: Alessandro Del Piero (289)
Record victory: Juventus 15-0 Cento FC (Italian Cup, 6 January 1927)
Record defeat: Torino FC 8-0 Juventus (League A, 17 November 1912)

Antonio Conte Resigns

Juventus manager Antonio Conte has resigned just days after winning the Serie A title. Antonio led the club to an unbeaten campaign and most fans are shocked to see home leave the club so soon. Antonio played 419 times for the club and then later retuned as a manager to win a Serie A title and the Italian Super cup. Reports are flying around suggesting that Antonio feels like we wants to challenge himself further and that he believes he is not ready to be the long term coach at Juventus. The Old Lady is on a rise after winning the title and building their new stadium but the club now wants to challenge on the continental stage so the board will be looking for a manager that has great experience in the Champions League.
Manuel Pelliegrini is the hot favourite to land the job but lots of names are being thrown about like Roberto Baggio, Roberto Di Matteo and also Roberto Mancini. All of those managers have vast Champions league experience and will want to use that to their advantage if they land the Juventus job.
A really good start to the story. Great to see someone doing a Juve story. Good luck for the coming season.

Pellegrini distances himself from Juventus

Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed reports he is on his way to Juventus. The 59 year old said this to the media “I am happy at Malaga and I am enjoying life at a lesser known club. I have had spells with top teams before and they have not really gone to plan. That is it”. The media have now placed Roberto Di Matteo as favourite to tale the Juventus hot seat, but with the start of the season drawing ever so closer the Juventus board have to make a decision quick and fast to make sure that the club can have a good pre-season and try to retain their Serie A title.

Roberto Di Matteo Joins Juventus

Former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has signed a one year deal to take the job at Juventus. The club wanted a manager with recent Champions League experience so when Di Matteos name was shown to the board their eyes lit up. Roberto Di Matteo won the Champions League last season with Chelsea so the board want to bring that experience and place it into the highly talented Juventus team.

A statement was released to the press and Di Matteo had this to say:
“Its an honour to manage Juventus. I was at a big club before but now I am at an even bigger club. This team can be very successful and I want to bring trophies to the club. We have a great new stadium and we are still unbeaten in the league so I want to carry that on into next season. I want to create a team that will dominate Italian and European football. Thank You. Goodbye.”

Di Matteo will join up with his new team on the 14th of July.
