Managers thoughts: Some decent results but all they were for was for me to get to know the team and for new signings to blend into the squad. Some of the results look bad but we have to take positives and move forward. The next game is the super cup against Napoli.

Juventus Finalise 3 new signings

Juventus have confirmed that 3 players have joined the club. Thigao Alacantra, Jetro Willems and Bernard Malanda have all signed long term deals with the club. Thiago joins from Barcelona in a deal reported to be £27M and is expected to play a key role in the midfield. Jetro Willems joins from PSV for £7.5M and Roberto Di Matteo has said he will be the clubs new starting left back for a long time. Jetro is highly rated and big things are expected for him. Bernard Malanda joins for a fee of £3M and he can play either DM or RB. Di Matteo may involve him in some games but he is not expected to be a starter.

Elsewhere Bendtner has had his loan terminated as Di Matteo did not want his EGO to ruin the teams harmony. Quagliarella has joined Athletico Madrid on a season loan and Giacchenrini has also joined PSG on a season loan.

We have a tough group but we will get through it if we get some good results and make out home a fortress. Group C is the group of death with 4 big clubs in there but in Group D Barcelona have it very east with no real top teams.

Yes all of the transfer have some from of monthly installments but I have paid for Malanda upfront but I have also paid upfront some cash for each signing.

Italian Super Cup Final

This was it. My first competitive game in charge of Juventus. It was the Super Cup. The curtain opener for the season. I was very nervous as I knew a win would give us great confidence going into the season but if we lost we might not have a good season at all.

We arrived and I took the team into the dressing room to have a chat with a few players and then it was time to get out there and win this cup……

Juventus: Buffon(
C), Barzagil, Lichsteiner, Marrone, Vidal, Willems, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vucinic, Lewandowski.
We then took to the pitch and 90 minutes later we returned victorious.

We won and it was a great feeling. We didn’t dominate the match as we only had 45% possession but I don’t care we have won our first trophy under my reign and I don’t want to stop winning. I know we would not be here if it was not for the previous manager but now this was my team and we would go on and dominate.

Player of the Month

Vucinic has been excellent and is scoring for fun. He like to pick the ball up deep and then run into the box and smash home the ball with power. He has outshone any other player and with Jovetic being injured he will have to fight to get his place back.

My first defeat as boos of Juventus. We played poor and we never created any chances for our forward men.

We are still en route to qualify but I want to finish 1st to avoid bigger teams in the knockout rounds.

Player Of The Month

He has come into the side due to injuries to Jovetic and Vucinic and he has done very well. He is not the best player but this shows how much strength in depth I have at the club.

Benat to Sign for Juventus

Spanish midfielder Benat has signed a four year contract to join Juventus. Betis accepted an offer of £12M for the talented midfielder and he will join at the start of January. Juvetnus boss Roberto Di Matteo spoke to the press about his new signing,

“Well he is a talented player and he will fit into my style of play and he will be a great player for the club. I need extra numbers of quality in midfield so the signing of Benat will help me work my magic”.

Dunno how good he is in FM but doesn't seem like a bad signing!
