http://i4.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1857227.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/Wolves-Tongo-Doumbia-and-Bakary-Sako-stand-dejected.jpg6th May 2013: Wolverhampton Wanderers achieve their second successive relegation after a humiliating defeat from Brighton sending them to the NPower League 1.
Steve Morgan: "Clearly a lot of mistakes have been made over the past two seasons and I understand fans' pain, anger and resentment towards me."
7th May 2013: Wolverhampton Wanderer sack Dean Saunders after the club’s relegation to League one making him the 4th manager to manage Wolverhampton in only 15 months.
The Doncaster ex-boss has failed to keep Wolverhampton safe after taking over in January. With five wins, five draws and ten defeats that made the club finish in the 23rd place, 5 points away from the safe zone.
Steve Morgan promises the fans a new manager that will hopefully take the club back to where it belongs at the premier league among England’s top flight clubs.
Wolverhampton hires an unknown Italian manager
*At the press conference unveiling the new manager*
“The Wolverhampton board and I, Steve Morgan, are proud to present to you the new Wolverhampton manager, Guiseppe D’Eletto”
Reporter: “Mr.D’Eletto, what made you take the job as Wolverhampton manager?”
“Well, after Mr.Morgan contacted me and told me that the club needs a manager and he's willing to do anything just to make sure the club goes back to where it belongs. I couldn't have said no to such a generous offer.”
Reporter: “Is there anything you would like to say to your predecessor?”
Guiseppe:” No, sono sicuro che Mr.Saunders hanno fatto del suo meglio per mantenere il club in campionato. Ha appena stato sfortunato a prendere in consegna il club in questi tempi difficili.”
“No, I'm sure that Mr.Saunders have done his best to keep the club in the championship. He just was unlucky to take over the club in such hard times.”
Reporter:”What should the fans expect from you? “
Guiseppe:”I tifosi devono aspettarsi attrarre calcio. Promozione saggio, io li prometto che saremo di nuovo nella massima serie in un tempo massimo di tre stagioni.”
”The fans should expect attracting football. Promotion wise, I promise them that we’ll be back in the premier league in a time of three seasons maximum.”
Reporter:”You don’t speak English, is the language barrier going to be a problem between you and the players?”
Guiseppe: “no mai anglich iz vary best”
*Chuckles from all over the room*
Steve Morgan:”Thank you ladies and gentlemen, that’ll be it for today”
Certain expectations
Steve Morgan:”Okay, Guiseppe, with all the greetings and welcomes out of the way, I would like to let you know about my expectations.”
D’Eletto:”I’m all ears.”
Steve Morgan:”I expect nothing less that title this season, 2nd place is not an option. Understood?!”
D’Eletto Silently nods his head.
Steve Morgan:”Money wise, we have a good squad with enough depth in it. But if you want to alter it, I’ll give you a 2.5m budget with 222k wages.”
D’Eletto:”Thanks, that would be great.”
Steve Morgan:”That would be it for now, you can leave.”
A brief introduction to Guiseppe D’Eletto
Guiseppe D’Eletto is a Regen that once played for my Wolverhampton side in FM12’. He led us to 4 Champions league victories in 5 years, 3 FA cup titles and 2 Barclays Premier Leagues.
He is classified as a Wolverhampton legend, the Italian striker’s scoring record was immense. With 137 goals in 163 Premier league games which quite impressive for a player that hasn’t reached 24 yet.
Words can’t describe it, so I’ll just leave you with screenshots.
