Martin Jol Leaves Fulham

Manager Martin Jol has left Fulham after a two year reign came to an end after Fulham decided not to renew his contract. Jol who made his Managerial Debut for Fulham against NSI Runavik in the Europa League had a good relationship with most of his players so the next manager will have to win over the players which can be difficult. Jol who previously finished ninth and twelfth is well known for the signings of Bryan Ruiz and Dimatar Berbatov. A Statement on the Fulham site broke the news today and also mentioned a new manager will be announced in the coming days. Fulham are well known for managerial changes with four taking place during the last 10 years.

Three mangers have been linked strongly with the job with Steve Kean who was forced out by Blackburn Rovers Fans though to him being branded a Puppet by them. Alan Curbishley has also been linked with the job. Curbishley hasn’t managed since Resigning from West Ham though to the board selling players without his permission. The Third and least likely is former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Mateo the Champions League Winning Manager was sacked after laying third in November and having a poor champions league campaign. Sky Bet currently have Alan Curbishley as the favourite at 3/1 while Kean is 12/1 and Di Matteo is a long shot at 75/1
Good start Stephen :)

Fulham Announce Holland As Manager

Fulham have appointed Stephen Holland as there new manager replacing Martin Jol. The Move Represents the board looking towards the future with there new manager being twenty five. Holland has previous managerial experience with clubs in the middle east during the years of 2008-2010. He Arrives at Craven Cottage on a two year contract the same as when Jol when he took over . The West London club moved in for Holland in the wake of Jol’s departure and two days after he left Holland flew in from Ireland to conclude the negotiations with Mackintosh. Holland who had received interest from Wigan after the club parted with there manager Roberto Martinez but Holland has always favoured Fulham with one of the attractions being a higher personal contract and trust from chairman Mohamed Al Fayed in his transfer dealings

Holland is reportedly being given a six million transfer budget to allow the buying off new players. “Holland understands my vision for the club” Fayed said “and he believes in what we are striving to achieve. I know that he will dedicate himself to helping us to move forward and he is with us for the long term. Holland had always wanted to manage in England though him watching it as a child and playing managerial games such as Championship Manager which helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his early days at Molde. Holland said in a quick interview today “I am very happy to join Fulham, I could have gone to different countries but I was just waiting to finally get a job in England which has been a dream of mine for quite a few years” I know a lot of the squad though to me watching a lot of the league during the past few years players like Bryan Ruiz, Stekelenburg will be key for us this season. Holland will have two months to get his squad ready for the opening game of the Premier league
Dutch for ze Dutch :P Good luck!

He lifted his third trophy here with Valencia winning the Copa Del Rey. Miguel was a ever present player in the Valencia squad playing 164 times before leaving on a free to Fulham. Miguel's best quailty is being a team player while his worst is being poor in the air.

Royston Drenthe
Transfer Price: Free

Royston Drenthe joins Fulham after being released by Real Madrid. Royston is yet another example of a player doing well at a small club and flopping at Real Madrid. Drenthe is one of the biggest flops in recent years with him signing for a huge 9.5 Million fee from Feyenoord. He tried to get his career back on track with loans to Hercules and Everton but failed to make a impact though to poor attitude his contract ran out and he left Real Madrid searching for a new club joining Fulham. Many pundits believe this to be a poor signing but Holland believes that he can make a impact on the left side of the pitch with his great pace and natural fitness.

Mark Noble
Transfer Price: 3 Million from West Ham

Center Midfielder Mark Noble was brought in to play in the center of the pitch alongside Steve Sidwell. Mark was brought up by West Ham and played there for his full career up to now he made 143 Appearances for West Ham scoring 15 goals. Noble who was a former England youth player making 20 U/21 appearances is hoping to break into the english squad and felt he had a better chance at Fulham rather than West Ham

Marc Muniesa
Transfer Price: Free

The Former Barcelona youth is another example of a youth player flopping at a big club with him only playing once for the Spainish Giants. The Fulham fans are unhappy at this deal though to them not thinking he is Premier League quailty. Muniesa will miss the start of the season though to him being with the Spainish u/20 squad. This season he is only set to be a back up to the main Cb's but is set to play a major part in Fulham's Future.

http://www.nononsensefootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Ryan-Shawcross.jpg

Ryan Shawcross
Transfer Price: 6 Million

Brought in to be a main Centre Back for now and for the future a top class center back that will be in the squad for many years to come. Shawcross believes the same as Noble that moving to Fulham will help them to break into the english mould out of the two Shawcross has a much better chance though to England lacking a Top class Centre Back.

http://images.footballfancast.com/players/300px/fulham/Senderos.jpg

Phillippe Senderos
Transfer Price: 3.5 Million To Bayer Leverkusen

I believe that he was just an average defender now a days was never going to be able to stop world class strikers such as Van Persie,Suarez etc

Sascha Riether
Transfer Price: 400k To Werder Breman On Loan

Was offered out for a transfer but there was little interested from clubs so instead joined Werder Breman on loan with a future fee of 2.2 Million
I started a Fulham story today as well, will follow yours, good luck:)
