About the story

This story is the result of my desire to complete all of the Football Manager 13 achievements. I have managed countless teams this year and now I need one to stick. So hopefully Melfi in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione Girone B will become the new Juventus.

I am hoping to make this story part of a series, potentially moving on to different bottom division clubs.

Why Melfi?

I have chosen Melfi. Why? Because the kits and badge looked awesome. Otherwise I had never heard of them.

About the manager

The manager's name is Joe Dowley. Born on 20.05.1987, Dowley is an unknown English manager.
Good luck!
Wow, I have never heard of this team, but I love their colors and nickname! Good luck with them!

Neither had I, planning on buying one of these shirts though :P
Good Luck :)

The Start

I immediately went to my board and demanded a parent club for extra income. After some persuasion they decided to give me one, and now hopefully I will pick up a decent side. We have a decent wage budget of £12K, although £10K is already being spent. I will try to make many free transfers and loans to help us.

I looked at the squad and noticed a couple of things:
1) Our squad is very young: our oldest player is 26 years old, and only 4 players are older than 23.
2) We have lots of loans. We already have 7 loanees, meaning we will have a small squad when these finish.

The link

Torino announce link with Melfi

Urbano Cairo and Melfi chairman Giuseppe Maglione are pleased to announce a new link between Torino and Melfi. Under the terms of the agreement the following will apply with immediate effect:

Torino will be able to send players on loan to Melfi. During the loan spell the player's wage will be paid in full by Torino. Melfi have no obligation to play the player and he may be recalled by Torino at any time.

Melfi will host an annual friendly between the two clubs with all the gate receipts to kept by Melfi. Torino will be under no obligation to field a full-strength side.

Torino will pay Melfi an annual fee of £31.41K.
Nice link mate, might get some quality players on loan from them.

Yea hopefully I will

The tactics

Tactic 1: 4-4-2 Normal

Tactic 2: 4-1-2-1-2 Counter

Tactic 3: 4-2-3-1 Control

Pre-season friendlies

I don't mind too much about the results, they are only to get some cash in to the club.
Decent pre season good results against much better teams.
