Following the arrivals, there will always be departures. Several players have left the team today, and will join up to their new teams, some of them being Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Lineker has managed to clear out the deadwood, funding the several arrivals in the squad. Aaron Lennon has departed for Anfield, as Liverpool enquired about his services. Lineker demanded 19.000.000, and Liverpool decided to open their checkbooks and bring the English winger to Anfield.

Following a good season, Defoe has departed to Man City for 7.000.000, as the striker positions are now stacked, having Lopez and Lacina Traore upfront, choices far more obvious than Jermaine Defoe. The fans aren't exactly pleased with this, as he had a good season, hitting the net 16 times.

Michael Dawson departed to West Bromwich Albion, for a fee of 7.500.000. He was deemed surplus, as M'Biwa and Chiriches joined the squad. Lineker decided to sell him now, to make sure he'll get a decent fee for the player.

Brad Friedel departed to Southampton for 325.000, and has given his spot in the team to Ospina.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Clint Dempsey departed for 5m and 5.75m to Wolfsburg and Inter respectively, with Lineker delighted he got rid of their wages and got decent fees for both of them.

Adam Smith also left to Brighton, 2.5m.

Assou-Ekotto left to AC Milan for 10.500.000, leaving Vertonghen and Danny Rose to compete for the left defender position. Last but not least, Iago Falque left to Osasuna for a fee of 3.750.000.

Summer continues and Lineker is trying to bring Christian Eriksen to the club on a four year deal, but is facing serious competition and negotiating with Ajax for the transfer of the young Danish footballer. Ajax refuse to let him go for less than 23milion, while Tottenham refuse to pay more than 19. According to our sources, Eriksen welcomes a move to Tottenham anyday, and he wishes that the business will go through faster.

Eriksen was fabulous last season for the dutch side, scoring three times and assisting his squad seven times over 26 matches. Already made an impact this season, assisting the team once in two matches. Although his performances are decent, they are not worth 23 mil, according to Tottenham fans and Daniel Levy.

"If Lineker wants him, he'll get him sooner or later. While I don't think he's worth that much, we're negotiating and will announce the outcome sooner or later. Hopefully he will be wearing a Spurs jersey by the end of the transfer window, as he will need to blend in the squad quickly."

Its time for kick off!
United are attacking straight from minute one, and are pushing Tottenham into the back. Douglas Costa snatches the ball from Kagawa, and sprints through the field, laying the ball to Lopez. Lopez strikes for top corner, but De Gea blocks the shot.
This will be a phenomenal match, as both teams are in great form!

We're close to the end of the half-.. Shaarawy dribbles past Buttner, and lobs the ball over the defence. Sinclair fakes a shot and pushes it past Vidic, infront of De Gea-.. LOPEZ COMES FROM THE BACK AND GOAL! SPURS ARE AHEAD! 1-0!. What a strike! Noone could keep that out!

Half time. This game is incredible. Spurs have been performing well, and United too. Spurs have been extremely dangerous on the counter attacks, due to their speed on the wings! This will surely attract Eriksen to the club.

And we're in the second half. Spurs are attacking. Dembele will come on for Sissoko. Sandro fouls Rooney outside the box, and Persie is stepping up for the freekick. What a shot, but Lloris is there to do his job, and keeps the Spurs infront!

Douglas Costa has been playing well today, his skills are dazzling, and his dribbling is really efficient.

We're close to the end. Dembele lobs the ball over the United defence, and Siggy is one on one with De Gea. He strikes it-.. Ah! What a miss! De Gea managed to block it! Siggy should've slot that one in!

And coming late in the transfer window, Spurs have managed to secure Eriksen for a fee believed to be around 20.000.000. The Danish playmaker will join up the squad soon, as agents finish the contract and the money will be transferred to Ajax's account.

This is a coup signing for Tottenham, but lets hear out what Lineker has to say about the signing. Gary, you really should be delighted with this, aren't you?
"Yeah. I am. He's a great player and he really fits our system. He'll be one of our key players soon enough, and we'll give him his time to develop. I don't think we overpayed, as he has a great ability."

"We still have a lot of money to spend, following the departures, but I doubt we'll open our checkbooks again this summer. Maybe at winter or next year. We have a great squad for the CL, and we will mount a serious challenge."

Well, as Spurs had made great signings, the Manchester based teams will not lay down, and have opened their checkbooks to bring in a couple of new faces. Great players, I must say.

We'll have a great season ahead. All the teams have improved, and there will be serious competition for the title. Arsenal although are ruled out, following awful transfer business, and Liverpool failed to attract players.

August has now ended. Spurs have won two out of three games, and lost one. Eriksen has also made his debut, in the third match, banging two goals on his debut. What a performance, isn't it? The young Spurs squad has been in good shape, fitness wise too, as Lineker has been rotating the first team well. Chiriches also made a good debut.

And so the month ended. To be frank, picking a best player of the month is hard, but I'll go for Sandro. 8.05 avg rate in 3 matches. He was a rock and ensured we'll cover the back.

Unlucky again Stoke, but great results against City and Fulham - Eriksen is looking like a good buy!

And another month has gone through. We've had a pretty good month, up and downs, but overall it was a positive month. We should've won against Villa, and the defeat against Everton was just gutting. Luckily, I don't care about Capital Cup, nor does the board, so its okay if we got knocked out.

This was a fairly poor month. We had three defeats and two wins. We lost to Schalke game we should have been winning, to Arsenal (completely gutted) and to Barcelona. Not that concerned about Barca, as it was on Camp Nou and we did well to avoid getting a defeat bigger than 1-0. Still, that doesn't excuse anything. We should've won the Schalke game and the Arsenal one too. Wilshere, the bag of meat, picked a day to fit, so he scored a winner.

And another month passes, the team not having the best of months. We managed to win only two games out of six, but I can't complain. It was a tough month, facing a lot of big teams, and yeah. That's kinda it. Lopez been scoring, Shaarawy is performing. The team geld in together, and I am really pleased with it.

I feel like I lost the battle for first. If we can't defeat United, then we can't win the title. We need to be capable to defeat United, Chelsea and other top teams. I'm not bad about the Barca results, as I never felt we'll beat them, but eh. I hope we pick it up next month.

Very good month this was. We performed well, and only two draws and a lot of wins. We weren't defeated, which is very assuring. Currently we're doing well on the table, fighting our place in the top 4. I got to admit I'm afraid, as Man City are 3 games behind us, but are on par with points. We'll have to avoid defeat and keep our winning ways, and ensure we will achieve a top three position. I don't mind if we just finish above Arsenal either, might piss Wenger off abit.

Following Younes Kaboul's departure to BVB Dortmund, Lineker decided to use the money gained in the 20.000.000 deal, and reinvest it in the young Celtic striker, Tony Watt. "He's a great player, I'm delighted he accepted our offer, and he will join at the end of the season. For his age, he's a great goal scorer, and we are willing to give him more time to develop."

According to the Spurs board, Kaboul departed from the club for 20 million, as the player was often struggling for fitness and was injured often. Considering his value on the market, Lineker used it to his advantage and sold him for quite a sum, clearing up a spot for a younger player to come in.

Spurs have been extremely efficient in the transfer market, raking in profit while making great young signings. Despite having a very young side, they are performing well in the league, and the likes of Lopez, Traore, Bale, Shaarawy, Costa, Eriksen are simply tearing up defences apart in the league.

Watt will join the squad for 6.75 at the end of the season.
