How Many seasons will it take? (24 votes)
Hello.

This is both my first post and story on FMScout, i have read many story's back and forth from FM10 to FM12.

I have been playing Football Manager since CM 99/00

I hope you forgive my english at times, it's not my native language.

My goal is to do the impossible, go through a whole season in the English Premier League unbeaten.

I realize it will be hard and probably take many seasons. But i belive i can do it.

To ease things up for me i will be taking control of Man Utd. They have both young talent and there's alot of talent among the senior players.
Their financial stature is great, but their loans might be a problem, I will have to watch my spending the first couple of seasons due to loans
Both Training facilities and Youth training system is world class, wich will ease things up a little more.

My strategy will be to cruise through a couple of seasons raising young talents and making the ultimate team to have a go at the ultimate goal.

First Season Goals:
Sign a couple of world class Youngsters (2-3)
Finish top 2 in the league
Reach quarter finals in the Champions League
FA and League Cup is for youngster development.

1st update about transfers and pre season will come tonight/tomorrow.
I only lost once in my first season as Man Utd, and went undefeated in the second. It shouldn't be impossible. <ake sure you buy a really good DM (Fellaini is my recommendation).

I realize im giving myself a head start by using Man Utd. But it will be interesting to see how it goes.
If it goes too easy i might swap clubs to a mid level EPL club.

Why buy him when Jones does a just as good if not better job?

In my second season at Man Utd i went unbeaten the whole season well only lost 1 game in the champs league to ac milan but other than that i won every single trophy beat arsenal's unbeaten record heading into my 3rd season at Utd. Rooney also broke the most goals scored in the Premier league scoring 42 goals in the PL and scored 65 in 57 appearances in all competitions.
Well my season started and i set expectations to win the league
i was given 31 million in transfer funds and 1,8 million in wages, the club is currently spending 1,4 million in wages

This is my Summer activity.

My future SUPER star

needed to strengthen my midfield a bit

Costa, Great talent, young and does have alot of potential. and Cheap!

i have alot of hopes for this one! but he's heavy on wages. 100k p/w

16 years old! and look at those stats!

Young talent, couldnt get a work permit.. im worried about this one. might not have been a good deal.

I completely revamped my staff and got an minimum 4 star rating. assigned both Youngsters and Senior players to a Training schedule.

still spending 1.4m per week on wages.

now its the fun part! GAMES GAMES GAMES!

Bad news: Costa out for 2 months with a damaged spine.

League Cup 3rd round draw:

Champions League group:
Man Utd - Valencia - Ajax - Dinamo.

My new signings are fiting perfectly into the squad and things are going great.
Currently Siting in 1st place after 3 games with Tottenham in the 2nd with 9 points as well.
how did u sign Adryan already when u cant sign brazilian players until there 18 from overseas
Don't worry about Cavani, he's a beast, almost always buy him in FM or Fifa12, and he doesn't stop scoring!
If you like using Hernandez a lot, my advice is to have him as a poacher, and switch either Rooney or Cavani to Target Man (support). However, don't play him as a lone striker. Train Costa Midfield Right, as well.

Good going so far! Fernandinho I'd completely forgotten about, good buy.

I am playing him as a poacher in a 4-4-2 with attacking wingers
But im using rooney/cavani as advanced forward
Fernandinho seems to be a huge hit and costa started off great, can't wait for kovacic to develop
I have a lot of hopes for him
Thanks for the tip on training costs on right asell.
