Manchester City - The Vision

My plan for Manchester City is to have them become the dominant force in English football. I want to achieve this by bringing through and developing younger players. I have set myself some strict financial guidelines which I plan to follow. Backroom staff who are surplus to requirements have been moved on, and some quality staff have been brought in.

Tactics

These are the three tactical systems which I will be implementing. First, reserve and youth team squads will be using these systems so it will be easier for youngsters to come through and slot straight in.

Financial Prudence

- Do not spend more than 50% of overall bank balance on transfers in any one season.
- Lower wages wherever possible. Do not pay any new players more than the present highest earners.
- Look to increase club bank balance by means other than just player sales.
- Young players of two or more stars potential are kept, either in the reserve or youth team squads.

Wage Structure

This will be the wage structure for new players who join the club.

Key Player/First Team - £150,000 pw Max
Rotation - £80,000 pw Max
Back Up - £40,000 pw Max
Youth/Hot Prospect - £15,000 pw Max

Friendly Matches Update

Five friendlies have been played. We won all five, scoring eighteen goals and conceding only one. I am pleased with how the squad are performing with my new tactics. A couple of youth players have been impressive in matches and will be monitored throughout the course of the season.

Transfer Update

Felipe Anderson - Signed from Santos for £5,250,000. A great prospect for the future.

Marouane Fellaini - Signed from Everton for £15,000,000. Solid player, first choice defensive midfielder ahead of Nigel De Jong.

Neven Subotic - Transfer fee of £16,000,000 has been agreed, a contract has been offered and accepted. A much needed central defender who will partner Vincent Kompany.

A great win today for the club. Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero had stand out games. Felipe Anderson also came off the bench and didn't look out of place. Manchester United had slightly more of the ball but created very little. Overall I'm very happy that the match preparation and tactics worked.
Man united always seem to play bad teams when they're cpu controlled

A great way to start the season. I decided to keep the same team that won the Community Shield and they didn't let me down. Micah Richards scored early on and we kept a clean sheet. We had 55% possession and 24 shots on goal. David De Gea was voted man of the match. Manchester United had one shot on target. We should have scored more but overall I was very happy with the performance.
Not bad mate. Looking very good already. Im pleased with the Felipe Anderson Signing. He is a quality player, and doing really well for me (see my Sunderland story). I would however suggest signing a quality young keeper who will provide some competition for Hart, who may otherwise become complacent.

Cheers mate, thanks for reading. I'm impressed with what you've been doing at Sunderland. I agree that a good back up goalkeeper is needed. I have been trying to negotiate a transfer for Marc Andre Ter Stegen but Gladbach won't do a deal for anything less than £20,000,000. I know that might not seem like a lot of money for a team like Manchester City but I don't want to throw £100,000,000 at players every transfer window. Steve Mandanda has a buy out clause of £11,250,000 so I'm scouting him and could do a deal for him. Not sure yet.
hey mate, check out rui patricio or david ospina. 10million should be enough for them both i think. and btw, awesome way to start out your season, two clear wins against your biggest rival!

Cheers mate, I'll get my scouts to have a look and see what they say...

A pretty even match, neither team created much. Not an easy place to go. A couple of my players didn't perform well enough but it's still early in the season. The only bonus is that we kept a clean sheet. Micah Richards was man of the match.

Injury News

Vincent Kompany has torn his groin muscle and will be out for 5 - 6 weeks.

UEFA Champions League

Group B, Bayern should be favourites. Benfica will be tough opponents, Otelul are the underdogs but could always spring a surprise. It should be an interesting group.

A good win in front of our supporters. We did go behind but goals from Neven Subotic and Sergio Aguero gave us the 3 points. I started with a youth player in central midfield, Abdul Razak. He played the full 90 minutes and I was very impressed. We dominated the game with 19 shots and 64% possession.
