A New Legend ?

To My Fellow Managers

Hi I am new Football Manager and I am going to start a story as I have looked at a lot of stories now and they are really good I don’t want to copy anyone’s story so what I want to do is start of unemployed as that’s were all managers start as a Sunday league player with no experience at all I am hoping to become one of the greats and I know it will take a very long time. I have loaded in as many leagues as I am able and put them all to the lowest division they have. I think it’s going to take me a few month’s to get a job but that’s just like real life what’s the point of starting a game with a big team I am not putting anyone one down by saying this I just want a challenge one year I could be England next I could be in usa it’s going to be fun and I hope use all enjoy reading this story and as I said i am new to Football Manager so anyone with any tips I would like to hear thank you for reading.

A Dream Come Ture

I did not have to wait long for a job offer with new England coming in with a job offer that I am going to take this is a good stepping stone for me and my career don’t get me wrong I will do my best at the club but in the long run I won’t be here for two long I will see out my 3 year contract with the club unless another club comes in and I like what I see but other than that New England get ready for their new Manager an unknown how has no experience and has never managed before it’s going to be a good journey that’s all for the moment thanks for reading.



My first day at my new job and the chairman was at the gates to great with a smile and a hand shake and showed me around the club first stop was to meet my staff who were all friendly and happy to meet me and its good to know that they are supporting me the second stop was to meet the players that I will be working with they were all ready to go and play for me they all said so it’s a good start with everyone giving me there backing. The 3rd and finally stop was the best one there I saw it a brown door with P. Kavanagh across the door my office my first office I thought to myself I can’t wait for this.

My 1st Game

I went into my first game as a new manager with butterfly’s in my stomach and some doubt in my head all theses thoughts were going true my head what if I am not cut out for this 15,000 fans were relying on me even tho we are half true the season and sitting in 3rd spot I knew what I was taken on when I took the job I always wanted to be a Football Manager. Half an hour before kick of the captain of my team came up to me and said don’t worry you will get there the 1st match is always the hardest as a player our Manager. I was really starting to feel it now I could hear the fans chanting and singing and as we all walked out on to the pitch my dream came a reality I am a manager I have done it. Now I have to show that I can do this.

In my First game in charge of the team we were playing Philadelphia at home in front of 15,000 fans. That match seemed to go on for hours every second feeling like a minute I was afraid to stand up in the dugout I just stayed sitting down I felt bit out of place was I was looking at the Philadelphia manager walk up and down and shoat at his players I just sat there like a mouse eating some cheese. But then in the 44 Minute something happened something that will change everything we scored I jumped out my chair and before I knew it I was shouting at my players to hold on to this and try get another that goal changed me for the better in the end we won 1-0 my 1st match over with and my 1st win as a manager I thought I could get use to this wining.

Away From Home

My second game and my first away from home we pulled up D.c United and it felt like the fans were out to get us they did not like us at all. I was thinking and I said what is up with that and one fan said you will never make it as a manager I could not believe the things some of the Dc Fans were saying to be honest with you it felt like a prison that little walk to the Club doors and there they were again the thoughts and butterfly’s in my head but the this time the thoughts were I wonder will we win our lose I only wanted one thing at this point a drink of water. So 20 minutes to kick of I did my team talk I told the players yeah I am new to this but use are not so go out there and play the way use have been playing all season and show this team that we can get top. The game Started badly for use going a goal down in just 7 Minutes and the home crowd went nuts it could have been even worse but DC missed a penalty in the 18th minute. In the 25 minute we scored game on we went to half time with the score 1-1 and I told the players we can win this COME ON LADS. Two minutes’ into the second half we score again 2-1 up and looking like we will get more and we did in the 67minite and the 79 minute to go on and win the game 4-1 what a day and that one fan how said you will never make what I will say to you is wait and see.

What A Game

Colorado was the next stop for me and New England going into this game as underdogs we went into the game with nothing to lose and everything to gain. The butterfly’s in my stomach were not so bad anymore and thoughts in my head well let’s just say all I wanted to do now was win and keep on wining. Before the match I told the players to go out and play for the fans that have travelled to watch use play put on a show for them. We got off to a really bad start 1-0 down after 15 minutes and we were playing like we were not even on the field half time came I told the team this is not good enough show me something else. The second half started and what I said to plays I thought to myself that must of went in ear out the other as we went 2-0 down in the 62 minute I said that’s game over I made two subs and what happened next I could not believe 71 minute 2-1 we got one back I shouting at the players get the ball forward and Bang 2-2 in the 76 minute one of my subs score 2-2 I could not believe what I was seeing from the players . I would have been happy with the draw but the 2nd sub I used had other ideas in the 83rd minute he shot from 30 yards top corner 3-2 I could not believe my eyes and that is how the game ended I said this is why people become managers to see something special like that what a game.

Going Strong

Next trip was to Sporting Kansas City going into this game with my first 3 games won hoping to keep it up and we did we played Kansas of the park and in the end ended up winning the game 3-0. I have settled in now I don’t feel nervous any more am talking to players outside football going for meals they are making me fit in hear really well. A big step up from when I first came I was as quiet as a mouse now I am as load as a bear. Have the team sitting in 1st place six points in front now and going strong just hope we can keep this up for the rest of the season. BIG TRANSFER NEWS COMEING SOON.

Confidence Is High

Back at home we are preparing for the arrival of Jan Jose its going to be a tough game but I know we can win this one and take another 3 points. I had a meeting with the broad about how the season is going they are very happy show my first month of being a manager has flew bye and wining all my games has given me the confidence and the hole time two to go on to win the league it’s a tough task but we are all up two it. Before kick of I told the players to go out and enjoy them self’s and that is what they did winning the game 3-0 and now top of the table by 9 points I am loving life with my new club and they are enjoying having me. Still working on the transfer.

Knocked Back Down To Earth

Chives usa can to use next. I told the team to go out and show me what they can do in this game.
In a game with not many chances Chives took the lead in the 1st half with a free kick 1-0 at half time and I was not happy with what I saw from my team. I told them to pull their socks up and start playing some proper football. What they must of herd was keep playing the way we did in the 1st half as we lost the match 2-0 at home. I said to the team at the end of the game extra training and fined a player for getting sent of I was really mad with what I saw. How are we meant to win if we lose against a team who we should beat week in week out this my 1st loss as a manager has really kicked me in the head and knocked us back down to earth work is needed to be done.

Transfer Michael Owen

In a shock move New England Boss has Signed Michael Owen The ex-England international said he is delighted to be coming to a club that the support for is great. No one had seen this coming as Kavanagh had kept this to himself Owen how is 31 still has 3 to 5 years left in him said Kavanagh and together the player for 350k is a great deal he can help us on to bigger and better things. Owen is the 1st ever player that I have signed and I hope he helps me on that (laugh) in terms of a contract its 3 years on 51k a week. He may not have the pace he use to have but he can still finish a ball better than most players in the world.

Back To Wining Ways

We needed to bounce back from that loss and we were traveling to Columbus as favourites to win the game we needed the win. Owen would be starting the game up front as a lone striker hoping can he make an instant in packed. Told the team go out there show me that the last game was a one of loss. All the players looked hyped up and I was happy. We took the lead early true an own goal 1-0 half time. Second half was a great half with Owen getting 3 goals on his debut I could not of asked for a better start from the lad let’s hope he can keep it up 4-0 winners on the day the bus home was all singing and confidents is back to a high.

On Fire

After winning the last game we go into this game on a high we are playing Huston who are playing well this season. The team has really showed me that they are willing to play for me and the fans and that makes my job a lot easier .before kick of I said go out there and play for the fans but most of all play for yourself. In a game that we controlled true the hole game winning this one 3-0 and Owen getting another two 2 goals so that’s 5 in 2 games since his move hope we can keep this up.

Derby Time

It’s here my biggest game as a manager so far New York Red Bulls at home the derby its going be a tough game going have to fight for the win I was telling the players. Since I first took over the first 2 games I was nervous I have not been nervous since until now. Show me what you can do lads is what I said before kick-off and they did just that scoring in the first 5 minutes of the game and again on 27 and 56 and then in 89 another I could not believe what I was seeing Owen with another two goals what a signing he is turning out to be a great win from the lads keep it up 7 games left to go.

We Did It

After the win against New York Red Bulls confidants around the club is flying high we no 1 point is enough to qualify for the play offs so we are going into a game Philadelphia away its going to be a tough game but the lads are up to it. What a win 3-0 and we have done it we have qualified for the play offs that lads have showed that they can play football with the best six games to go and we have already qualified I can’t ask for more from the lads.

The Last Six

Ok so have played the last six games and tried new formations and gave the younger players a chance to play and they played really well and to finish in 1st place in my 1st season was a great start to my management C v here are the matches and the results.
