Koeman revealed in a leaked interview that The board think that with the sort of money they have they can challenge and be great again, they are wrong, the club is going backwards. A string of high profile managers turned down the job at Feynoord when the wages and funds were shown.
Louis Ross a young English manager was not put off however, looking for his first job in football the young manager jumped at the chance, moving his wife and newborn child to Rotterdam to start a new life.
Ross was given two choices by the board, mount a title challenge or win the title, with 110k wages (108k already being spent) and 150k of transfer funds which he swiftly moved to help with wages. Ross has certainly got his work cut out at cash strapped Feynoord but he wanted a challenge, and that is exactly what he got.
