Backup striker Mseluku has become the latest Dynamos player to ditch agent Coetsee.

Elsewhere, my ass man has spoken to Neil Winstanley, who only has positive things about the development of utility Andile Mhlongo, whom has improved greatly over the last three months.

South Africa have qualified for the 2015 edition of the African Cup of Nations, with a game in hand; that must mean that there is some talent in the country!

Meanwhile, yet another Dynamos player has parted company with agent Coetsee.

Pity it is aged striker Shabalala, whom I can't loan out, and whom definitely will NOT be getting a new contract offered by me.

With the friendlies filling out my roster in a weird bit of downtime for the team, I chose to experiment with the youngsters in the team. Under 21 commitments meant that some wins were not as comprehensive I as would have liked, and others, like the Kaizer Chiefs, were were extremely lucky.

I'm not sure whether it is related to Coetsee disliking me, but the bloke seems to have problems retaining clientele, and it does make me laugh.

Now only three of my players have representation through him!

My first game back after the friendlies was good ole "first place" versus "last placed" Bidvest Wits.

While Mashego saved our blushes with a hat trick, our midfield let us down, as they controlled the game and we only came away with the 3-1 home victory due to the sheer brilliance of our key striker.

We may have a business requirement to upgrade our stadium this term, as we have played two fixtures at home, and sold out two so far.

A better man than me would feel sorry in this situation....



Two more to lose and then I really won't care about him. Unfortunately, they are my stars Mashego and Masabo!

We are next due to play Sundowns, which will give me an extremely good indication of where we are as a club.

Two things are not in our favour though, one the rather large looming figure of Gomis, who will want to play well against us, and we are still without the services of midfielder Onana, whom would have been useful for this matchup.

True. Corburn Woodington is indeed an outstanding attacking midfielder. With a player like him, any team's midfield would be secure. He is one of a kind, play the type of soccer that only Europeans can. Intelligent and always knows what to do with the ball. South Africa, don't miss out on this midfielder any longer.

Our pre-season friendlies have finished, with the PSL starting in roughly ten days.

Conclusions:
The cover we have at right back is average to say the least. Both Bobbs and youth Khuzwayo weren’t bad, but they didn’t set the back line on fire. Maybe it is a blessing that Barkhuizen has not yet signed with another club, as he could be the bridge between now and Addai getting a WP. If he doesn’t waltz through the WP, I may have issues.

Denis Khripunkov is FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC. I signed him up as a replacement for Hammers, and he excelled in the friendlies. I deliberately didn’t play Mashego that much, as I wanted to see what the depth was like beyond him. Youth strikers Botha and Qalanto also enhanced their reputations with strong showings.

Lucky Masenya was lucky and stayed fit throughout the pre-season.

New recruit, Ngwenya (80K from Jomo Cosmos) enhanced his chances of starting in the first match with strong showings, topped off by a goal against Gaborone Utd.

The timing of the under twenty South African matches meant that some of the players didn’t get as much game time as I would have liked.

Masabo has been quiet since his discussion with me and Orlando haven’t yet made a move. There are still twenty five days in the window. At present, there are only two players with interest from other clubs.

I’ve made cheeky bids for a young Pirates defender, and an Ajax CT utility.

Thanks for your comments Rovindj and I am glad you are enjoying the story.

Masabo remains the first choice keeper for the competitive fixtures and will remain so for the duration of his tenure with the club.

I'm playing a lot of friendlies during the gaps in the PSL (and I am finding that there are a few of those), so that is where I am playing my so called "dirt trackers" and finding the time to develop Ngobese, the other classy keeper in the squad.

The long term goal would be to get the clubs reputation to a stage where the likes or Pirates and the Chiefs are not as attractive proposition as staying and playing for Dynamos, but I am sure that will take decades, and I can only see myself being at the club for at most another two years.

Mr. Kiwi, where are you? It has been about a month since you left!

(Sorry for bringing an inactive story to the top, guys, but I had to get this New Zealander's attention)

I apologise for my, ahem, momentary stepping out. As I was telling Akash offline, life gets in the way sometimes, but I am back and I must say the new site is looking fantastic.

Thumbs up from me to Stam and all the people within the wider FM community that have made this site such a experience for newbies and old hands alike. We were all new here at one point or another, and it was great for me to be able to log in and get answers or bounce ideas off others here. And know I was not alone in playing FM and should be sleeping.

I bought by first FM game in 2006, it is a measure of how far technology has come that I went to a shop and paid cash. From there I think a lifelong passion was born, and it has been incredible to share that delight with like minded individuals.

Okay, soppy stuff over. Where was I with my story???
