FA announce Sleightholm to take over the empty England role

July 5th 2011
After Capello had walked out on England, the nation took this as a blessing and they hoped the new appointed that would bring them .
They were completely horrified to find out that the Ex-Thirsk Falcons Goalkeeper, who only played Sunday football, had been chosen to lead England, many were disgusted by this, but a few had hope in this newcomer, and hoped he could produce something... Magical.

David Bernstein (FA Chairman)
Sleightholm

"So, Josh all you need to do is sign here, here and here, then we have everything sorted, the media are outside the office, waiting to hear of your decision." *David pushes two pieces of paper towards Sleightholm along with a ball-point pen* "There you are."

*Sleightholm reaches to grab the pen, but drops it as his shaky hands let it slip, he picks it up again and begins writing* "So, I've done them two, just this one now?"

"Yes, just that one left to do."

*scribble* "There, all done!"

"Welcome to the team! I'm sorry I can't stay but I must get going, you need to get to your Press Conference" *David stands, shakes Sleightholm's hand and walks out, whilst Sleightholm sits back takes a deep breath, and shuts his eyes.*

Euro 2012 Qualification Group D

5 Games Played, 3 Remaining vs Bulgaria, Wales and Montenegro

Stefan Phillips (Assistant Manager)
Josh Sleightholm

"So, if we can pull off two wins out of the three we've pretty much qualified, think you can handle it boss?"

*Sleightholm sat back in his chair almost looking completely calm and relaxed* "Shouldn't be a problem at all Stefan just make sure you get me those tactical reports from each of the teams, and get them analyzed by the scouts yes? Plus, are we still agreed on the new tactic we are going to use?"

*Stefan pulled out his huge file packed with all sorts of information about each player, in one section there was the England tactics analysis, he pulled out a drawing. "These boss?"

"Yes, now go show them to the boys." *Stefan stood up and walked to the door, whilst Sleightholm began choosing who would stay and who would leave the team...

Euro 2012 Qualifiers Squad Announcement

This will be the team I use for most matches, a couple of changes due to injury:
IN
Rodwell Parker
Sturridge Welbeck
Crouch Defoe

Sleightholm
Phillips

*Assistant Manager, Stefan Phillips was walking through the corridor pushing everything out of his way, steam pretty much coming out his ears, face bright red, it was like an angry Wayne Rooney. He held to pieces of paper in his hand...* "What on earth do you think your doing? Confirming the team without even consulting me?"

*Sleightholm sat up with a surprised look on his face* "I am the manager, I don't need to consult you, now go, and don't dare enter my office with that attitude again, or I'll be on the look out for a new AM pretty soon.

*Phillips stood still and spewed out some more meaningless words* "You couldn't even manage a market stall never mind a National Football Team, you don't know what your looking for in players, don't know how tactics work, I bet you think 'man marking' is drawing on men. None of the fans even like you.

*Sleightholm stood up, this time, with an angrily look* "You have the cheek to walk into my office and tell me this, get the f**k out of my office now, and don't comeback ever, you have been fired from your International Job, and once the press hears of this, you'll be probably be sacked from your Club Job as well.

Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross finally rounded off their victory on 45 minutes with a fine header from point-blank range.

Attendance: 43,340

I did an England save and I won the Euro's and the World Cup with them. Watch out for Jordan Henderson and Jack Rodwell - they turn good in about 2013.

You can't win with newbies

Montenegro 1 - 0 England (Euro 2012 Quals Group G)

Match Report:
Montenegro's fans left Pod Goricom wondering quite how their team had only managed to win 1 - 0.

The first incident of note was on 22 minutes as England were denied claims by Daniel Sturridge for a penalty. Montenegro's winner came through Petar Grbic as he seized on David Stockdale's mistake to score a finish tucked away with consummate ease.

England were carved open a number of times but despite the ability of their opponents to create chances, they struggled to put them away.

Man of the Match: Stefan Savic (Montenegro)
Attendance: 15,230

Love the story. But I'm not trying to sound like a king or anything, and don't take this the wrong way, but if you want me to continue reading this story then you have to make it very story-like and all the drama and stuff and not just results because I generally find stories with saves that manage national teams very boring because of how a major competition is only once every two years or four years and how transfers in and out can't be made. I loved the part of how you explained why you got a new ass man in Di Salvo. Keep it up mate :)

Cheers, I'll try to add it in :D

Who's laughing now?

It has been a while now since the huge row with Ex-Assistant Manager Stefan Phillips, and as released in the Press Conference later on that same day, everyone took the side of the newly appointed manager, Josh Sleightholm. Every single one of the fans hated Phillips with pure passion. Di Salvo had been informed to release in another Press Conference the parts he hasn't told them in the first place.

Sleightholm
Di Salvo

"So you think it will work?" *Laughs and Di Salvo joins in*

"Yes! Of course, the fans hate him. They'll do it, we don't even need to ask"

"He's going to wish he never said those things to me, haha!" *Sleightholm and Di Salvo both stand up, and leave the room laughing as they close the door, but what were they waiting for to happen?*
