SHOCK RESIGNATION AS POPOVIC LEAVES WESTERN SYDNEY

There has been a shock sent around Western Sydney and the rest of the Australian football world as Tony Popovic leaves the Western Sydney Wanderers after 250 games in charge and not being in control of the team for a single game. Tony had this to say -

" I really do not want to leave, but it is the right thing to do. I am just as shocked as you all are. I won't be answering any questions but I will explain to you everything I can. My shock resignation has come due to family reasons. My parents recently moved to Croatia and my mother has become extremely ill. I will have to go over to help her and my dad cope with it and help them through whatever they need. It is a tough time for both me and my family and I hate to be leaving the club in the lurch like this but I really do not have any option."

Popavic has put a squad together in 250 days and kept finances well in tact, so he has already left a promising club for the next manager to come in and make his job a little easier. Whether or not he will keep the squad is another story however. The high profile signing of Shinji Ono will surely persuade the next manager to come in. There have been a few names thrown around such as Mark Bosnich and Craig Forster to take over the reigns, but so far nothing has been said.

Condolences go out to the Popovic's and hope for nothing but the best for the rest of their lives. We will surely see Tony managing again soon.

And so the journey begins...

New manager announced: WSW.com

All of us at the Western Sydney Wanderers are delighted to announce that after weeks of searching, we have signed Jake Ghalloub as our new manager for the next season. Jake has been deemed the right man for the job after plenty of interviews and getting an idea of what he wants to do at the club. We think he is the best man for the job.

Lyall Gorman was delighted with the current appointment. - " I am delighted with the appointment of Jake as our new manager to fill the boots of Tony Popovic. Jake may not be an experienced manager professionally, but he has all the qualifications and all the coaching requirements of being a pro manager. He has the right vision for the club and we think he will be able to do great things.

Jake has only ever managed at New South Wales Premier League side Blacktown City, at which in 3 seasons, he finished 1st in 2 of them. His first season started when Blacktown were in the relegation zone, until he brought them back to touching distance of the top 4. In his first interview with the club he had this to say.

" I am truly honoured to be chosen to lead this brilliant club forward. They have been outstanding in bringing the club so far forward in so little days, and I hope to continue the great work. The board of directors have showed massive trust in me to hire me to do such a big job, but I am sure I can deliver."

"Tomorrow I will be meeting up with my team and staff to discuss everything, so we will just see how we go."

This has to be a bright future for the club! It is the only way forward! Come on you Wanderers!
No more Mark Bosnich? :/
I was wondering the same thing Glenn. Best of luck with WSW though!

I figured I would do something like that when I am abit more matured with my writing boys! It will come, but maybe not with WSW!
ISSUES GOING ON:

Me currently not posting is due to the fact that my FM has weirdly been messing up lately and losing saves so i am trying to fix it as soon as i can.

There will be no posting for a while, but once FM is all good again, I will either continue on with this story or start a new one with an even bigger challenge!

Sorry for al who were eager to read! I shall return ASAP.
