Chelsea Football Club has parted company this morning with Manager Roberto Di Matteo.
He was fired after it was decided that he will not stay on as interim manager.

The club faces a difficult task ahead in qualifying for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League as well as mounting a strong challenge for the top of the Premier League while competing in three other cup competitions. Our aim is to remain as competitive as possible and challenge strongly on all fronts.

The owner and the Board would like to thank Roberto for all he has done for the club since taking over in March.

Roberto helped guide us to an historic Champions League victory and a seventh FA Cup. We will never forget the huge contribution he has made to this club's history and he will always be welcome at Stamford Bridge.

The club will be making an announcement shortly regarding a new manager for the club.

Chelsea sack manager Roberto Di Matteo after deciding against keeping him

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and ex-Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez have emerged as the early favourites to replace Di Matteo.

However, Harry Redknapp and former Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho have also been mentioned as contenders for the position.

"The team's recent performances and results have not been good enough and the owner and the Board felt that a change was necessary now to keep the club moving in the right direction as we head into a vitally important part of the season," read a statement on the club website.

Here are some odds on the next manager from Sky Bet:

Josep Guardiola 5/1
Jose Mourinho 6/1
Harry Redknapp 13/1
Rafael Benitez 35/2

Many other ex-Chelsea players are included on the list, all of them, however, are rank outsiders for this post.

P.S: I have made two minor database changes: It will become evident very soon!

The club's "recent" performances are winning the CL and F.A Cup. lol. Unless you've started the game in December.

Probably means last few league games or something.
Sorry guys, the other save game got corrupted, it was on the end of the last story. I will be trying to re-create it with better results :)
Are you going to become Mourinho? If yes how can you do this with him being at Real Madrid? Confused!
I'm Makelele, but I'm going to bring back the Mourinho days at Chelsea (the prem etc..)...bought back a Makelele formation and have signed Ballack as backroom staff (one of the database changes) :)

Pre-Season and August

After and average pre-season, we headed into August ready to do well. A Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup are now in the trophy cabinet. Impressive in the league, we will hope to crack on and do well elsewhere.

League Table

Cup draws

Champions League (CL):

Chelsea
Benfica
Lille
Nordsjælland

Capital One Cup (CAC):

Barnsley (H)

Transfers

Big name in Huntelaar coming in, doing well so far. Many just for the future, Adryan and Shawcross also doing excellent so far. Also agreed the deal of Dória for £525K in January.

September and October

PS: Will be updating every 2 months from now on.
WOW, YOU TOTALLY BROKE THE BANK WITH HUNTELAAR AND KVIST. Huntelaar i'd bid at most 10m and kvist I wouldn't lol.
Huntelaar so far been amazing: Torres hasn't played yet, and I signed Kvist because his stats are very similar to Lampard's, who is old obviously.

September and October

A decent September saw me decline a little towards the end of it, however, my October performances were horrific, shocking and crap frankly. I was unlucky to lose Mata, Ramires and Hazard, but consistently poor performances from Cech and Ivanovic saw me concede often.

On a higher note, I am pleased to announce that football legend Ronaldinho Gaucho will be joining on a free in January.

November

November is an exception because I know that in December my Club World Championship games are decided.

November

Well that was the reaction I wanted. Fantastic results especially against United, where they only had 2 shots all game. The Nordsjælland game was easier than it suggests (don't worry, I'm not that bad :P ).

League Table

December

Club World Cup (CWC) will be there as well!
Nice results!!! More updates please :D?

December

Decmember saw us play fairly well, although not winning the CWC was a shame, losing in the lottery of a penalty shoot-out.

League Table

Looking good in the league table at the minute, with a game in hand.

Transfers

Dória and Ronaldinho have both joined, with Destro (Genoa), Gabriel Silva (Udinese), Luis Fernando Muriel (Udinese) and Federico Santander (Tigre) all agreeing free transfers for the summer. An offer has also been made for Christian Tello (Barçelona) on a free.
