It can be lower league football, A team in financial ruin, a national team or even a team you have never heard of before from abroad!

I will be ruining this story for the long-term and will bring a nice easy layout for everyone to read! I want this to be an interesting read so will be doing the story from different angles, such as the fans reactions, board's opinion on me and so on. Please let me know who you want me to take over or which league even and I will hopefully begin tomorrow.

I want to give you lads and lasses some entertainment so bring it on!
Portsmouth! :P
I'd personally like a Cheltenham story, I don't really know anything about them other than the fact that Jack Butland was on loan there. :D
Interesting so far guys, Will make my choice tonight, Keep them coming in!
There is a thread here where you can ask what team people recommend you use:

Stockport County

An unknown Irish manager named Dean Byrne has been appointed at the helm of Stockport County. The troubled club have been looking for a manager for the past week, after parting company with Ian Bogie after a poor end to the season. The hatters had opened an interview process and mentioned in the club statement that "Dean Byrne was energetic, passionate and influencial." Although some fans believe that it was the lack of interest in the Job that gave Byrne the post.

We took to the street of Manchester to get some reactions of the die-hard County fans.

Fan 1- I have been supporting County for the past 25 years and I think it's a shambles that the club has employed Dean Byrne. The lad has no past experience and I dont expect him to bring much success to the club, I dont think I will be renewing my season ticket this season.

Fan 2 - Personally I think the board made the right choice. Dean seems up for the Job and I hope he can guide us back into the football league in the next few seasons.

The fans seem to be split on the appointment and only time will tell if they made the right choice. Dean Byrne must first strenghten his side if he wants a successful season with a cash strapped budget, It will be a tough task for a man with little experience.

Nice start Dean :)

Pre - Season

An all round good pre-season for the hatters which will give Dean's men the much needed confidence heading in to the season opener against Alfreton. A confident preformance from the first team against the reserves gave Byrne an overview of what he had to work with. However a poor showing against unfancied Cammell Laird proved that the squad needed strenghtning in some departments. Back to back away wins followed against Guiseley and Gainsborough before a heavy home defeat against Higher league outfit Sheffield Wednesday. The Hatters ended their pre-season with a confident showing against Kendal as experienced Striker Jon Macken scored a delightful hattrick.

We managed to find Chairmen Peter Snape after the game vs Kendal, and he had this to say.

Peter Snape - All in all I think we have prepared well for the coming season. The team are without a doubt showing that they are capable in this division, even against Sheffield Wednesday we played a bit of football. This club belongs in the highest tiers of english football and I know we can achieve our goals in the coming seasons.
When asked about Dean Byrne's preformance so far he added

Peter Snape - The young man has done a fine job, To be fair to him we haven't had bags of money to spend, so the few he has signed for free have done well so far. I think he has a small squad aswell, and with the amount of games in the league season that can be tough on the players. I get on well with him and I hope he can bring success to the club.
With the league season kicking off in a weeks time, The County fans will be encouraged by the teams pre season form, and hope it continues throughout the season.
