Lowestoft Town: The Trawlerboys on the rise!

This story sees me take control of Isthmian Premier League side Lowestoft Town. The aim is to get Lowestoft as high up in English football as possible. I'm not saying I'll get them to Europe, we will have to wait and see how I get on

Lowestoft Town F.C. is an English football club based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The club are currently members of the Isthmian League Premier Division and play at Crown Meadow.

The Manager

The manager i will be playing as is completely made up. He has no resemblance to me or any person in the footballing world. This story will mainly focus on the story of Lowestoft rather than the manager. I will be posting monthly updates and important news (eg. cup ties, transfer news, etc.).

Aims

My main aim is too get Lowestoft into the football league. I feel i can achieve this in my first 5 or 6 seasons max (that's 3 promotions). My aim for the first season is to win the league, i feel this is easily possible. Also a good cup run would be useful to get some extra money into the club. With the youth facilities very poor, i can't rely on youth intake. The transfers I will be making will be primarily young players. As a manager I will not leave Lowestoft unless I am sacked or the story is getting no where and i end up in a division for 4 or 5 years in a row

Haha, that's ridiculous but bayern do get a good 70,000 every week! we would be lucky to get 700

Pre-season Results

Needham Market 2 Lowestoft 1

Dereham Town 3 Lowestoft 2

Lowestoft 1 Leyton Orient 1

Overall a fairly poor pre-season. Should've easily beat Needham and Dereham. Very happy with a draw against Leyton Orient and I never really expected to get a result against Norwich.

Not the best results but I know you can perform better

Transfers

Patrick Drmola - Free



Good striker with bags of potential. Only managed to sign him on a non contract at the minute. I will have to make sure to sign him on a part-time to stop other clubs snapping him up.

Claudiu Hoban - Free



Another young player, this time probably a back up but will be challenging for a first team place in the future.

Oliver Kelly - Free



Fantastic player and still has huge potential. He will be a major part of Lowestoft's future if i can keep hold of him
