Italian Enlisted As Lech Score 6 Of The Best
Cristiano Zanetti attended today's match against Santa Coloma after signing a contract with Lech. New Forward Amanatidis made his debut for the club in the match, impressing, to say the least.
Cristiano Zanetti is the latest man to be signed by
Jackek B?k, who seems to be recruiting, older, more experienced players for cheap, or, in this case, and
Amanatidis', for free.
Zanetti has been in talks with
B?k for the past few days, but they confirmed his contract today, provoking
Zanetti to turn up to today's match in a '
Zanetti 13' shirt.
Meanwhile, on the pitch, the
Lech team played their first competitive game under their new manager's command, and it was successful to say the least. Despite expectations being that
Lech would beat the
Andorran outfit,
Santa Coloma, it was perhaps not expected they would assert their dominance to the standard they did.
From the off,
Lech kept the ball, giving
Santa Coloma a rare touch or two, but only ever in their own half. However, it took 31 minutes for them to score, many attacks dying out before reaching the back of the net. When it eventually did, it set the game off. Debut man,
Amanatidis collected a terrific ball form
Mozdzen and fired it in to the bottom-right.
Amanatidis was obviously pumped by this goal, as he instantly spurred the team on, only two minutes later a long-ball from
Hämäläinen was played on to his head, flying past the keeper's helpless arms.
Amanatidis was still not done as he rounded off a spectacular third in 5 minutes when
Tonev tapped the ball to the
Greek forward. Before the 40 minute mark,
Kaminski added another from a long-range deflection.
Going in to the second half,
Lech continued strong, scoring two more courtesy of
Mozdzen and
Wolakiewicz. When the end whistle blew,
Lech were 6-0 up and the stats were convincingly in their side. Fans who were looking carefully were able to spot a grinning
Cristiano Zanetti in the stands.
