Yeah he does :) Hopefully he develops into a top young goalkeeper.

Lancaster City 0-2 Chester
Pre-season friendly
Giant Axe
Attendance = 225
Marc Williams (85), Danny Williams (90+1)
Danny Williams

Good all round performance. We always looked the better team and scored two good goals. We did miss a few clear-cut chances though which concerned me a little bit. It's no good playing good football and creating plenty of chances if we struggle to put them away. With this is mind, I decided my next move in the transfer market should be a striker that will get me plenty of goals. Hopefully I will have something to announce soon :)

Vincent Péricard

Chester have confirmed the signing of ex-Premier League striker Vincent Péricard on a free transfer. Péricard,29, has played for numerous clubs in England, including Portsmouth, Stoke
City, Sheffield United, Southampton and Swindon Town.

Really pleased with this signing! Fantastic player for this level and he should get us plenty of goals. Scout reports say he is a good npower League Two striker which is two divisions above ourselves so I'm delighted to have signed him and I look forward to seeing what he can do :)

Jack Obersteller

Welling United have confirmed that 23-year-old full-back Jack Obersteller will leave to join fellow Conference North rivals Chester.

Another good signing for us :) A young left-back who, according to scout reports, would be a good player for most npower League Two teams. Obersteller will go straight into the first team and will hopefully stay with me all the way into League Two :D
Good signings :)
2013-05-11 10:34#99592 Louis O. : Good signings :)

Cheers mate! Few more to come yet :)
Like your style of updates. For me some pics are broken, I dunno if it's just me though.

Steffan Jones

Two more signings. First one is Steffan Jones who was a free transfer. A very young central defender who according to scout reports, would be a leading star for most clubs in the division above me, the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Seanan Clucas

The second is Seanan Clucas, who has joined on loan from Bristol Rovers until the end of the season. Can either play in the centre of midfield or as a holding midfielder, Clucas should provide extra competition in the middle of the park.

Cheers mate and yeah they are for me too. I've been told that eventually they fix themselves though, I don't know how to do them were they don't disappear :(

Chester 1-1 Altrincham
Pre-season friendly
The Deva Stadium
Attendance = 903
Shaun Densmore (pen) (14), George Horan (20)
George Horan
Nicky Clee (59), Ashley Williams (86)

This was a very tough game and Altrincham look like a really good side, but in all honesty I expected them to be as they do have the best player in the league in Damien Reeves. With Altrincham being one of the best teams in the same league as us, this draw shows me that we can compete with the best in the division. We went behind early on after Scott Brown gave away a penalty with a clumsy challenge in the box. Densmore tucked it away well and I was fearing the worst. Thankfully though, we turned it around and Horan scored a diving header from a corner to give us a share of the spoils. Will take a draw as it means we are still unbeaten in pre-season and hopefully that doesn't change :)

Stourbridge 0-1 Chester
Pre-season friendly
War Memorial Athletic Ground
Attendance = 224
Paul Linwood (42)
Paul Linwood
Michael Powell (28), Jerome Kirkwood (86)

Expected to win by a bigger margin really but a win is a win I suppose. Might try and change the formation for the next game to 4-4-2 to see if the performance improves a bit. Monthly review and player of the month coming up soon!
I do like how you have set out the match reports...it is going to result in a lot of posts! Keep it up!

P.s I remember signing Pericard on CM03/04 and he was so good for my Huddersfield Town squad! Haha
