Let's start by saying that all screenshots involving Man City is a save played by me and all other (LaLiga with Real Madrid and Elche and Ligue 1 with PSG and FC Lorient are simulated seasons).
First season with Man City I went unbeaten and won all major trophies (PL, FA, EFL and CL)

Below you will find screenshots with different stats of the team and players

The tactic itself uses a CM and Mezzala in midfield and 2 inverted wingers. The two fullbacks are instructed to keep the pitch small and the inverted wingers to keep wide to create room to pass the ball around and to give everyone multiple choices to give the ball.
I don't use OI to prevent my players being drawn out of position. Training is left to AM with the occasional tweak (review game of heavier load whenever I think it's possible).
I'll now show some screenshots of the simulated seasons to show that smaller teams also benefit of this tactic.

I know that with a team like Man City it's often considered "easy" to get results, but i think that the avarage rating of my players is beyond anything ii ever had. I can't remember if I ever had almost all my players in green over a whole season.

I hope if you do decide to try out my tactic you enjoy it as much as I have.
Goof luck!

The reason I chose a poacher is because I find that this role does more then the game tells you it does. When your further out he makes runs to get behind the defence, But the closer you get to the goal the more he acts like a DLP, making runs to left or right to get behind and thus creating space for the inverted wingers or mezzale to get in the space as well. Hope this gives you some insight in why I chose this role :-)
