Football Manager 2023 Tactics - Euzio's 4-3-3 (Solid Defense & Attack)
Being a fan of the 4-3-3 formation in general, I've been trying to come up with a tactic that is successful. And in the middle of my 3rd season in my save, I managed to come up with something which seems to work very well. Prior to that, I had been using downloaded tactics from FM sites or youtube or even some that I made myself. But I found that many times, much of the tactics revolved around outscoring the opposition. I wanted something defensively sound and after much tweaking, I came up with this. It was working well in my save, but being in my 3rd season, I had build a pretty good squad so I decided to run this tactic through a brand new simulation from the first season to see how it fares.

I decided to run the simulation with Manchester United for 2 reasons. The first being that it's the club I support, and second, I find that in FM23, MU isn't as overpowered as it was in previous FMs. In fact, I've run simulations of multiple tactics (many of them downloaded) but the results were varied. However, not one of them managed to win the League in its first season. The best I got was a 3rd place finish running more than 10 simulations. However, running this tactic, I got this result:

Won the treble! And it could have been the quadruple if it wasn't for Southampton. I went to see what went wrong that game and it seems that De Gea had a stinker in that game while my strikers clearly forgot how to hit the target....

Suffered a blip towards the end of the season but probably could have put it down to fatigue and such. Seems that the title was sewn up when defeating City 4-0 at home (which was pretty nice).

Rashford was under utilized here. I do think we could have maybe done better if he played more? When I created the tactic, it does rely on a pacey Advanced Forward and I actually had a fair bit of success when using Rashford in the AF role.

We also did not get the best defensive record in the league (we got 2nd, Liverpool got first). But I do think that FM is not exactly kind to players like Lisandro Martinez. He tends to do very poorly when playing at the CD (or BPD in this case) role. In my current save, I actually bought Antonio Silva and paired him with Varane and they have been very dominant most of the time. Martinez actually does quite well as the L-IWB since I sold both Shaw and Malacia (PSG and A.Madrid offered silly money for them).

Much of the tactic was conceived through a mix of trial and error and watching youtubers. (Would like to give a shoutout to RDF-Tactics for his tactics channel, I actually learned alot from watching how he came up with tactics and the concepts). But I would say this tactic is the best I've come up with since FM19. I've provided a link below if anyone wants to give it a shot~ If someone can tweak it even further would be terrific.
