About the Database

FM Club Legends database was created by me in FM23 Editor. I started working on it in 2023 and it was finished in November 2025. After 5000+ hours of work I built a database where each football fan will be able to relive the golden era of football with the legends of their favourite clubs.

Original Idea

As a vivid Ukrainian football fan, who grew up on football of 2000' and 2010' I feel very nostalgic about those times, especially with many football legends retiring year by year from that era. It prompted me to create a football manger database, where each football club consists of the best players that have ever played for this club.

How it works

So that you can enjoy the database for as long as possible the age of the players has been edited as per the timeline shown below (the original picture which I used to guide myself during the database customisation).

For example, if the player's pick era of his football career was 1960-70s his age in the game will be between 28 and 29 and so on.

Installation Instructions

The Database was created in the Football Manager 2023 Editor, therefore the database file is only available for Football Manager 2023. The game save file is available for all the Football Managers: 2023, 2024 and 26. Depending on which Football Manager you would like to play, you will either have to use the respective save-game file or you can launch the database in Football Manger 2023 and then continue your save in Football Manager 2024 or 26.

Football Manager 2023:

Database File:
1.Download FM23 Database file and save it in your "editor data" folder:
Windows: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/editor data
Mac: Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/editor data

2.Open Football Manager 2023 -> Start a new career -> Select the "FMClubLegends" option from the EDITOR DATA FILES dropdown. Make sure you select default database version (23.0.0 Update)

3.Select "Advanced Setup" and proceed with the usual setup of the game

Save-game File:
1.Download FM23 Save file and save it in your "games" folder:
Windows: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/games
Mac: Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/games

2.Open Football Manager 2023 -> Load game -> Select the "FMClubLegends"

3.Add your manager and select the club you want to manage.

Football Manager 2024:

Database File:
*Only works if you have Football Manager 2023*

1.Download FM23 Database file and save it in your "editor data" folder:

2.Open Football Manager 2023 -> Start a new career -> Select the "FMClubLegends" option from the EDITOR DATA FILES dropdown. Make sure you select default database version (23.0.0 Update)

3.Select "Advanced Setup" and proceed with the usual setup of the game

4.After the setup is complete -> Save Game

5.Open Football Manager 2024 -> Load game -> FM 23 -> Select your save and enjoy the game.

Save-game File:

Windows: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/games
Mac: Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/games

2.Open Football Manager 2024 -> Load game -> Select the "FMClubLegends"

3.Add your manager and select the club you want to manage.

Football Manager 26:

Database File:
