FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

Genie Scout 19 "g" edition now free!

As of October 3rd, the special "g" edition of Genie Scout is available for free! Normally this edition requires a license and is only given to Eugene's direct supporters who donate to keep the development of this brilliant tool alive.
Genie Scout 19g has no ads and includes some extra features, such as GS STATS, search by role rating and probability of development.

Redistribution Policy

We don't allow sharing Genie Scout 19 directly on other sites. Please point the download link to this very page. You cannot host any files yourself.

How to run GS19

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2019 and load your saved game.

Launch Genie Scout 19 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Eugene to get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 19 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a few minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Eugene.

Genie Scout 19g Explained

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

IMPORTANT:
Donations are handled by Eugene. He will deliver the ad-free version to you after donation.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, Eugene fixed most bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be quite stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issue: Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

Another stupid update by Sports Interactive...
They're more stupid year after year!
Now it's a fcking update every 3 days.
These updates should be early in November.
Genie Scout still has the same bugs, nothing changed.
Last year playing FM...

Seems to be something wrong with the role search. In my game the search for (W) Inside Forward, does not return the correct results (way to few players). Another issue with the winger role search is that it's counting L/R midfielders as wingers, even though they can't play in that position. Could be more as well.

Genie Scout "g" has been updated for the 19.3.2 patch. In this version all 110 player roles are up to date (final values), but columns are not yet finished. Shortlist issue must be sorted.

i honestly feel for Eugene with these stupid petty little patches , i wish they would fix the game in one patch instead of messing about , i guess we will get the new one when it comes

@Stam do you know if this is going to be fixed? Additionally, since we have a deep lying playmaker for both DM and M positions, why do we only have one Winger option to search for on roles in both search functionality and columns?

If the public version is not going to be available for a month, does anyone know of an alternative to this Genie Scout?
I know its a way of making money for Eugene by getting people to pay for the 'g' version, but a month of stopping people using it is excessive.

@Stam surely a more limited public version would be better and release it straight away. Limit what's in the public version and put all the 'advanced' features in the 'g' version. It's Eugene's work so his call of course but i'd be more willing to purchase the 'g' version if the public one had only the basic stuff.

Right now for people who want would consider paying for the 'g' version there's no way to view and see how the public version works... just a suggestion!

There are known issues with the current version of the "g" edition; shortlist is one of them. I've alerted Eugene about all reported problems and he will get them fixed for next version which will arrive during this week (after the FM Touch patch).

@vandeez @Adma: Yes. As I explained in my previous comment, Eugene does this for the initial release and the winter update. It's his way of rewarding his direct supporters.

The g edition doesn't work either (I've got genie19g_setup_19.3_b916.zip) and loading shortlist in game loads 0 players. Also I don't see any of the new player roles, for example Defensive Forward is still being used instead of the Pressing Forward. Very disappointing.

To be honest the new features would be nice, but I just use the genie scout to sort and shortlist players in a way that is easier for me.

But because I use the public version I am essentially banned from it for a month? Is there no alternative? I just have to wait?

Would i be right in thinking then, that as with the new update the 19.2.3 scout won't work anymore. That the options are, play without Scout for a month or purchase the 'g' version?
