Eugene has been working on the new version for some time now, but I didn't want to make to put any pressure to him by making any announcements until now.
I have a screenshot for you that proves GS12 is under development and also reveals a new feature of the "g" edition, which is the one for people who donate.
I'll remind you here that the "g" edition is ad-free and has a few extra fancy features compared to the free edition.
We won't make any promises on the release date, but I can assure you it won't be as late as it was last year. Most likely we'll be able to release it during November, without knowing if it's gonna be early or late that month.
Important - How to get Genie Scout 12 earlier!
You must know that we are planning to make it available for download a bit earlier for our newsletter subscribers. Basically, if you are a verified subscriber of our newsletter, you will receive an email with the download link to the first Genie Scout 12 beta version a bit earlier than everyone else.How much earlier? Well, it could be for half a day or for two days. Once that time has passed, it will be available for free download on our site of course.
Why lose a single hour though? All you have to do is give us your email and confirm your subscription to our newsletter by clicking on the confirmation link in the email you'll receive.

On GS11, I had a problem in that some of the Brazilian regens had korean names on the search list. Could you enquire as to whether this has been rectified for GS12?

Can u add coaches to shortlist? It would be good if this could be done in Fmscout 2012. Also, can the coach ratings be converted to the star rating as displayed in FM2012 Training?

I can tell you, from my experience, that in Genie Scout 11, the very best of players had over 80% on potential rating. So if you want good players, you should follow the potential rating of the player, and not the potential ability, because the rating of a player refers to how good a player performs on the pitch. If for example you have 2 players, one with 185 potential ability with 75% potential rating and the second one with 175 potential ability and 80% potential rating, you should choose the one with more potential rating. They also grow so much in value.. (80% rating values at least 30-40M euros).

That would be nice, since I don't have much time myself. There won't any differences between GS11 and GS12 as far as the free edition is concerned, so you may start writing it even now if you want. Let me know what you have in mind though, some kind of plan what to cover and in what way.
