On the same day Football Manager made its debut to the Epic Games platform, SI rolled out a small patch for the Steam version of the game.
The purpose of this update is to enable network games cross-play between Steam and Epic. So if you have FM20 on Steam and a friend of yours has FM20 on Epic, this patch will make it possible for you to play a network game.
Date Released: September 17th, 2020
File size: 276MB
To update you will need to close down Football Manager 2020 (or Football Manager Touch 2020) and re-launch. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam.
Even if that doesn't do the trick, then verify the game cache will.
