Football Manager 26 Automatic Goal Celebration Music Tool

Why I Built This

As a passionate Football Manager player, I always felt something was missing during goal celebrations. That magical moment when your team scores should feel special, immersive, and exciting! But FM doesn't give you that automatic burst of joy.
I wanted to recreate that stadium atmosphere feeling – you know, when the crowd erupts and the celebration music starts playing instantly.

So I built FM Goal Musics to bring that missing piece to my FM experience.

What It Does

FM Goal Musics is a companion app that sits quietly in the background while you play Football Manager. It watches your game, and the moment your team scores – BOOM! – it automatically plays your chosen celebration music.
No clicking, no manual triggers, just instant celebration vibes.

• Add your favorite celebration songs – add as many as you want and switch between them
• Choose which team to celebrate – only play music when YOUR team scores (not the opponent!)
• Set it up once and forget it – it just works in the background
• Customize everything – pick the perfect song, adjust how it detects goals, make it your own

It's super fast and responds almost instantly when a goal appears on screen. It feels like the game has built-in celebration music!

What's Coming Next

I have so many ideas to make this even better! Here's what I'm thinking about:

• Pre-Match Music – Some teams have unique pre-match music, why not add it to the app?
• Cheering Fans Sound – Imagine the sound of the fans cheering when your team wins a match.
• Bad Atmosphere Sound – If you lose, hear the fans boo or react realistically.
• Chill Playlist – Rotate through multiple songs so it never gets boring when you're not in a match.
• More Atmosphere Sounds – Football chants, cheers, and other sounds to make the game feel alive.

And of course, I want to hear your thoughts, feedback, and ideas!

How to Use

• From the Library tab you can add both goal music and crowd ambience. If you get an "Access denied" error when adding music, close the program and run it as administrator.
• From the Team Selection tab you can choose any team from the five major leagues and the Turkish Super League. If your team isn't listed here, follow the manual team addition steps below.
• Settings:
  
  • Leave the Configuration section as it is; the default settings are tuned for optimal performance.
  • Use Volume Control to adjust both the music and the crowd volume.
  • Use Sound Length Control to set how long both the goal music and the crowd ambience will play. The time you set here will be how many seconds the sound plays after a goal. If you set it to 0, it will play the entire track.
• Once you've finished all the settings, press the Start Detection button to activate the program.
• After pressing Start, if you see "monitoring..." in the status area, open FM and enjoy scoring goals with the best music in your career.

If It Doesn’t Detect the Goal

• In FM preferences, enable "Use plain color for commentary text."
• In the program's Settings tab, under Configuration, set the OCR Threshold to 200.

How to Add a Team Manually

• Go to C:/Program Files (x86)/FM Goal Music/Config.
• Open the Team.json file.
• Add your desired team to any of the existing leagues.
• Or create a new league and write your team there.
• The variations section of the team you add must match exactly how it appears in FM.

Troubleshooting

• If you get an "access denied" error when uploading a sound file, close the program and run it as administrator.
• If you've set all the settings correctly and still don't hear sound when a goal is scored:
• Set the OCR Threshold to 200 in Settings > Configuration.
• If it still doesn't work, move the program so that it's on top of the FM game screen (the program needs to be open over FM).
• From Settings > Configuration, click the "Select Region Visually" button and select the area in FM's match screen where the commentary text appears. (This area is usually above the substitutes/lineup at the bottom.)
• From the Team selection area, you can see in the preview whether you selected the correct area.
